Outer Brambles - Rules


A ring of broken islands decorates the Hollowed Grounds. Difficult to traverse due to the dense woodland and thorny brambles, the islands are nonetheless a good source of lumber, berries and game. Luxere in particular are common during Deepfrost, illuminating the Outer Brambles with an ethereal glow throughout the season.

The Labyrinth
Nestled against Peekaboo Rise, the Labyrinth might have been an attraction or a beauty spot once, but now it stands wild and untamed. Those who enter the maze swear that its hedgerows move and the pathways change; a particularly worrying attribute, given that large areas are submerged in water and require the intrepid wanderer to get their feet wet (and then some).

Levinsward
Battle scarred and barren, this long stretch of grassland between the Domiciles and the Labyrinth is uninhabitable for all but the hardiest of species. Constantly wreathed in storm clouds and charged through with electricity, merely walking through the Levinsward causes hair and fur to stand on end and teeth to vibrate. Lightning strikes the ground several times an hour, followed by purrs of thunder and occasional downpours.

Peekaboo Rise
Some might call it a glorified hill; other, kinder souls might deem it a very small mountain. Regardless, Peekaboo Rise has nudged its way into existence due to the shifting of land at the culmination of the Second War, and has become an established lookout spot for adults and children alike. On clear days, its views into the Labyrinth are unrivalled, and some even try to call instructions to those attempting to navigate the maze below.

Glade
A large, lush island abundant with natural beauty, the Glade boasts a vast circle of fragrant trees and a rolling expanse of wildflowers. Birds and bees conduct their music here, accompanied by the babble of water that threads in bright streams across the isle. Various fallen logs and boulders have been arranged throughout the Glade, made smooth by the backsides of the many travellers who have stopped to rest and take it all in.
