DEEPFROST THE LONGNIGHT IS COMING. OUTLANDERS, PREPARE YOURSELVES. You'll need lots of food and water, and if you can manage it, get yourself a bunch of extra firewood and oils to keep things burning. You won't see the sun for a week or more and during that time it isn't safe to leave your homes. Creatures from the dark arrive and have been known to slaughter any who are caught in the darkness. Definitely don't leave any food (especially raw meat) outside (unless you have a death wish). Make sure to fix any creaks in your floor boards or better yet! put some snow moss underneath everything so that nothing makes a sound! If you can convince some luxere to stand guard outside your home even better. The monsters seem never to touch them. Rumour has it if you're pure of heart you can collect glow stones from the glade to light your way. We will be putting together a party to erect a large perch for the Spark Bird and will also be offering it gifts in the Glade. Some years it has come to town and bathed everything in its light. If it does not, it will be a long week. Hope you like board and card games.

MEETING There will be a meeting at the temple regarding recent events held by Ronin Taliesen, Remi Abruzzo, and Rory. The meeting will start 1 hour after sundown tomorrow. (aka please have your characters show up here:  {Mini Event} just the way of things . You only need to post once having them arrive and listen to gain the information)

CAUTION A pattern of disappearances has been noted in the Atheneum which may be related to a sentient book. Be aware of your surroundings when reading, and tell someone where you are going and when to expect your return. DO NOT attempt to touch any book that moves toward you! Jigano Silversmith will be attempting to seek out the root of this problem. If any warrior-scholars wish to help, please join him in the blue gallery of the Atheneum at noon in three days’ time.

WANTED Magic users; herbalists; medics; scholars. Please come to the Infirmary at dusk tonight. I require assistance in developing an anti-venom to the Spire Demon's poison. Your help would be critical in taking steps towards this. - Isla Lockwood

NOTICE Roana, Ashetta and any other warriors. I will be at the Spire at dawn HIGH NOON. My intention is to take down the monster there. I have an antivenom to defend against its bite, made by Isla Lockwood before her death. I have also been granted a weapon by the goddess Safrin which I believe will aid in our efforts. The monster is known to be weak against fire and lightning. Any magic users with these abilities would be invaluable. Research has suggested that this creature may be some form of Ascended - regrettably, Isla was not able to find out more. This will be brutal. We may likely die.
