From being an Abandoned who had rarely left the Hollowed Grounds, to embracing the call of adventure, to dying and being reborn first as an Ascended and then as an Ancient, Maea has gone through quite the amount of changes in her life. One thing remains common, though, in her attempts to find out just where she belongs; she’s always had a craving for knowledge which has brought her to so many places and to meet so many people here in Caido. We can’t wait to see what else is in store for her!

We’ve done a lot of growing and learning over the past 4 years, and we hope you enjoy this next stage of the site with us! But first, here’s a little lowdown on what just happened:
At the culmination of The Call, we saw the Core removed from Caido, the Voice’s sacrifice and the rise of Dygra. All of this heralded the end of the war as our characters know it, but of course nothing happens in a vacuum.
Caido’s call for aid rippled across the entirety of the continent, causing ruptures in the land itself. As a result, you saw Torchline split apart, the Fangs in Halo collapse in on themselves and Stormbreak rise into the sky, along with many other disastrous environmental effects. The world plummeted into a twilight state in the days directly following the war, and it would have been difficult to discern what exactly had happened.
A year has passed since then.
The world has settled… somewhat. Thanks to the work of Rae and Frey, the wounds caused by Caido’s call have healed more quickly than one might expect. Scars have appeared by way of forests, islands and new and unexpected landmarks, enabling regions to focus their efforts more on rebuilding and regrowth.
And as for Dygra? The existence of the Ancients is becoming more well-known by the day, and people have begun to seek out this new goddess for themselves.

Ronin has been off-grid with Remi and has given up leadership in Stormbreak. It's unlikely that anyone has had much contact with him for the past year, apart from family.
Mateo has aged up! He lives in Stormbreak as a botanist and owns a small skyboat where he also lives. (He doesn't really know how to pilot it though).
Isla has remained an Ascended but has no fixed abode; she likely keeps herself to herself and tries to disguise her race as best she can.
Finn still lives in Stormbreak for the time being and owns his own detective business! He also plays guitar some evenings in the White Hart.
Ianto still resides in his Wishing Wagon in the Greatwood, but his daughter Fiadh can be found anywhere there's a canal, stream or river on her tugboat.
And Jack, of course, is still living it up in Torchline, making the most of the new business opportunities.
Maeve is still the Queen of Torchline. She took some time after returning home to heal and be with her family, but kept her title. She and Harper are planning their wedding.
Paige has aged up! She's in the process of starting her own business of acquiring items discreetly thievery and owning a bar. She's still in Torchline.
Cordelia is still in Halo. She and Noah were married shortly after he returned home. She's currently four months pregnant with twins.
Alexander fled the Grounds and during that time became an Ancient. He returned some time after to his home.
Camilla decided on a change of pace after the Greatwood flooded and moved her shop to Halo in an attempt to get a fresh start.
Hotaru rebuilt and restructured the Magic Academy in Halo, renamed Enzo’s Arcana, in memory of her son. Its grand opening is due soon, and will be the first most have seen her in public, as she has been grieving and isolated.
Evie and Deimos remain together and both as Wardens. They spend most of the year repairing Halo.
Harper plans his wedding with Maeve, and continues to assist with the repair of Torchline.
Anju attempts to take a quasi-leadership role in Stormbreak. She doesn’t seek to lead it, but as the last senior Dragoon, she tries to help repair the city and direct the people when necessary.
Jude and Soleil both age one year!
Ophelia, after the loss of all their Ascended family and unable to find Isla, goes to Dygra and becomes Ancient.
Deimos and Evie have remained together as a couple and as Wardens. They work hard on repairing Halo, including ensuring the walls are restructured, and that the Palace has been converted into a food storehouse/indoor market. He's also put a lot of focus back into the Deepfrost Shields, training the warriors of new and old.
Melita has been embracing chaos as normal within Torchline, assisting the Ark in its ventures, and shoring up her own home full of weapons and defenses. She's been actively training Sila, whose grown much stronger and larger, to use her fire confidently.
Lena has been working hard on repairing the Celestine, and anywhere else she is needed in Stormbreak.

Noah was married to Cordelia shortly after the war.
His house had been destroyed by dragons. They fixed it up enough to live in, but spent more time building a hunting lodge in the Greenwing! It is open to all hunters who need it, but also has a private section for Noah and his family.
Noah assisted the wardens with working hard to convert the palace. He also trained with the Deepfrost Shields and practiced his magic often in the Academy.
Talyson has been apprenticing with the Halovian skyship captains and working on building his own skyship. His courier job has been a lot harder since the continent fragmented, but that hasn't stopped him from delivering packages in the meantime! Just... more slowly while he learns the new routes. Halo is his home, however, and he's been helping his friends with the rebuilding and restructuring efforts.
Hadama has been getting the Underwater City organized again and working with the Haulani government to expand ties between land and sea. He has recently been seen sounding the new channels and lands that have been opened to the Mer to ensure they will be safe for his people.
Darkeye still believes in Kor and give a fuck about the other gods. The only exception is Frey. After the attack of the Spark bird, Darkeye helpt so many people how possible for him. He built a small Refuge Camp before he returned to the grounds. To make sure that there it is safe to return. So he started to rebuild the grounds. The important stuff for him is the spire which all gods can still pray to.
