Pancakes and pictures did indeed abound, and so although Soh couldn't shake the feeling that there was a sadness in Harper that he wouldn't talk about and that she couldn't fix, she let it go. Perhaps that would be a battle for another day. Or perhaps he had other people to talk to about these things.
She flipped through the pictures, ooh-ing and aah-ing and giggling and squealing as she perused the album. Jude really was an adorable baby. It made her wonder if there were any baby pictures of her floating around the cosmos; Auden hadn't been the sentimental type, and Soh wasn't sure where her parents' belongings would have made it to after their death. But then pancakes were done, and picture albums were put away, and it was an altogether cheerful morning to take Soh's mind off of everything.
