Appearance
Arthur is a mountain of a man, tall and imposing, his well-built figure making him nearly impossible to miss. He carries with him a strong energy, and he walks with the purpose of a man on a mission.

Most would describe Arthur as a handsome gentleman, as he has a strong jaw, defined cheekbones, and all of the features that would generally make up the concept of ‘handsome.’ His hair is on the longer side and lays voluminously in an auburn wave that falls past his broad shoulders. His eyes are a grey-blue shade, but what’s captivating about them is the gentleness that resides behind them, the genuine energy that seems to never fade.

Typically, Arthur tends to wear some kind of armor wherever he goes, but it won’t be uncommon to see him in relatively casual wear. Never will he be without his sword, though.

Personality
Arthur is of pure heart and soul, never having once been truly tempted by the darkness in the world. He is compassionate, sometimes described as a bleeding heart, but never mistake his compassion for weakness. While he is compassionate by nature, it comes from a place of understanding. He wasn’t always the man he became, so he truly does understand what it means to be at the bottom.

Confidence and determination radiate from him, and it is rare to see him obviously unsure about anything. Whenever he feels afraid or unsure or doubtful, he internalizes his feelings and keeps an outward strength worn for those around him.

He is very intelligent and wise for his age, which comes with the territory of being a natural leader. People tend to trust him easily, as he is incredibly easy to talk to and confide in. While he may appear intimidating, being around him for any real amount of time will immediately show just how tender he actually is.

History
Arthur never knew his real parents, having been taken from his parents as an infant and given to a retired knight to be raised. And so he was. Arthur grew up with his adoptive father and older brother in the countryside of the kingdom, learning to work and hunt and fight like any fine, young man.

He was a squire to his brother, who served as a knight. His brother attended many jousts and fights for honor and money, so Arthur was always there to make sure the armor was cleaned and secured, the weapons were sharpened and properly balanced, and the horses were fed and cared for.

Never once did he complain to his father or his brother about the work, simply thankful for what he had been given. He enjoyed his simple life; he enjoyed the work, the free time, the people. He enjoyed the education he was given, his bright mind always so full of wonder.

One day, when his brother was fighting in a tournament, his sword broke. Arthur ran home to fetch a new one, but along his way he passed a sword entrapped in a large rock. In his hand, the sword was freed from the stone as easily as if it had been butter, and Arthur ran back to the tournament.

Not long after, it was discovered that the fifteen-year-old boy who pulled the sword free was the rightful king.

With the help of his new advisor, Arthur quickly ushered the kingdom into its golden age, a time of peace and prosperity, as a raised-commoner of royal blood occupied the throne. He was beloved by all, and the loyalty displayed by all of his knights was unparalleled in the history of the kingdom.

One day, he was on a ride with his advisor, engaging in a philosophical discussion when he suddenly fell to his knee in the snow in a world different from his own.
