Appearance
Everything about Nate reflects the kind of person he is, the kind of life he’s lived. He holds himself with a confidence bordering on arrogance, but a build and stature that keeps him from being called out by most. His black hair is kept long, pushed back away from his face casually to keep blue eyes on display, or tied up if he’s doing something particularly strenuous. He has (admittedly poorly done) tattoos that run up the length of either arm, cutting off at his wrist and his shoulders. Few blemishes mar his pretty face, the handful of scars on his chin and cheeks normally covered by a light fuzz of facial hair.
Personality
Nothing is ever serious to Nathaniel. Especially not since he’s in a world with no record, or family name to bog him down. He intends on having as much fun as possible with this new world, no matter the consequences. The best and worst of his character is all going to come out as he works feverishly through his newfound freedom, and into the person he’s going to settle in as.
History
Nate grew up in a bad family, with a father who had anger and alcohol issues and a mother who never really spoke up. He and his twin brother grew up surrounded by their fathers business, none of which was savoury or legal. By the time they were twelve they were actively involved in a number of things for him, and by the time they were sixteen they were barely going to school anymore.
When they were seventeen, Nate’s brother got sick, and they couldn’t afford any kind of cure. Nate got it into his head that he could do something, if he just had some kind of training. He buckled down and against all odds managed to get into a program that would get him into medical school eventually. He made it through the first little bit of his program, but his brother still ended up dying, breaking Nate and sending him back into the clutches of his fathers business.
Other
Nate has several tattoos, some better done than others. The largest is a snake, curling up his right arm and over his chest, attacking a rat over his heart. It's also the best done, in cool, smoky lines. He has a line of stars going around the left half of his torso, seven stars in total, though they are faded. He also has a wren on his back right hip, done in simple colours.

    Blood Testing Upgrade | A small U-shaped device with two round balls on either end. This upgrade allowed the users to learn biological facts about whoever they drink from. They can learn about physical health conditions, abilities, and animal shifts. When drinking from an ascended they can detect what abilities are stored as well as their upgrades.
