Appearance
Eliza is a beautiful creature with olive-toned skin accented with ideally placed freckles over her upturned nose. She has almond-shaped eyes of a golden-brown colored, sometimes sparking gold with she’s flooded with emotion, be it positive or negative.
She has long, wavy hair that almost seems to change color between honeyed gold and charred oak, but it compliments her complexion and she loves letting it lay freely down her back.
To most non-Fae, Eliza would be considered rather short and petite, but she’s actually on the average-tall end of her race’s height scale. She likes her small size anyway, as it just makes it better for maneuverability. Plus, it makes it easier for her wings to lift her. Her translucent wings stick out from her back, expanding when agitated or excited. When she’s relaxed, they can lay - almost - flat to about the backs of her knees, similar to how an insect’s wings rest.
Personality
Eliza is a charming girl, easily excited and wonderfully enthusiastic. She has bright eyes and a love of nature, but she isn’t the most social creature. Extremely cautious about those she doesn’t know, she doesn’t always come off as immediately friendly or warm, but she’s a sweet person when you get past the arrow aimed at you.
She is a loner by nature, enjoying the solitude of the woods and the ease and serenity that it brings without disturbance. Her passion is the arts, but she would be lying if some action and adventure didn’t thrill her to the bone.
She’s spunky and entertaining, but she also likes being entertained. A master of word games, Eliza is incredible at dancing around answers and avoiding questions that she doesn’t want to give in to. She loves the petty enjoyment that she gets by confusing people, but hey, if they aren’t smart enough to ask the right questions, why do they deserve the right answers?
History
Eliza has always been a free spirit. Ever since she was a child, she was loud and boisterous. Raised as an only child by her father, he taught her how to hunt, how to track, and just about everything else she had to know to survive and contribute to their society.
Her skill with the bow made her a valuable huntress, and her ability to track and trap were phenomenal. She would often say that she was taught by the best.
She was taught to - mostly - fly by her father, but her clumsiness frustrated her. From the moment she could move her wings, she wanted to soar, and she didn’t think it was exactly fair that the others older than herself got to do it with no problem. All he would say is that she would get there someday.
When she was thirty-four, her father died in a hunting accident. She mourned him for a long time, as he was the only family she truly had, but it didn’t stop her life. After her father’s passing, she became even more determined to excel in everything she did to make him proud. She would always tell herself that if she could fly on her father’s wings, she could do anything.
No matter the challenge, no matter the criticism, no matter the doubt... Well, the girl would just have to prove them wrong, wouldn’t she?
