Jiao is someone who takes great care to decorate herself in as many beautiful things as she can find. There are usually flowers and beads strung through her long black hair, sparkling makeup on her eyelids and lips, bracelets and rings on her arms and hands. She wears bright, colourful clothing and her wings match with an almost holographic tint in them catching every colour in the sun.

She has large eyes and a small, delicate mouth. Small hands and tapered fingertips with decorated nails mark out her hands as those of someone who spends far more time working on her hands than with them.

Jiao is nearly always seen with a smile on her face and a skip in her step. She is not particularly graceful despite her efforts to appear so, regularly moving far too fast and excitedly and crashing into whatever is nearby.
Personality
Jiao is by nature a light-hearted person, though she can be quick to judge - especially if the person before her is unfashionable or even worse, serious. She loves to have fun and gets annoyed at anyone less eager to drop all their responsibilities and go dancing. She is keen to try most things and loves new experiences and despite her appearance, she loves to get her hands dirty.

While she is very sunny, Jiao does not seem to have any close friends or family. She is not comfortable letting people get too close, in case they see she is not always able to keep up her fun exterior. Feeling a need to be perfectly entertaining for the rest of the world she hides her dark moments desperately.

She loves material things, anything shiny or bearing a beautiful pattern especially. Her home is a wonderful museum of clutter and trinkets, golden jewellery boxes holding gems and fine chains, fabrics hanging from the ceiling...Jiao revels in the beauty of stuff.
History
Jiao has had a pretty typical upbringing for a Fae in the Greatwood, whatever that entails; her family was not close knit but they were all creative in their own ways, talent and hard work greatly valued when it came to craft. From a young age she showed a talent in making clothing and jewellery, in designing looks for herself and her few childhood friends. As a child she was rather studious, quiet and eager to get space to herself.

As she grew older Jiao came out of her shell, but further away from her family. Shrouded in her created fabrics and goods she invented her own world of colour and light, of curiosities. Sometimes she would take a trip by herself to the edges of the great barrier surrounding something on the Outskirts of the wood, wonder what laid inside and tried to dare herself to reach out and touch it (she never could).

Eventually she had made enough clothes her closets were bursting and her friends were sick of the gifts, so she opened a tailors shop in the Bodega in Sidhe Village. This is not a store for the timid dresser, all clothing bright and bold, but it will be fitted well and made quickly with Jiao's skilled fingers.
