Appearance
With him having a wiry frame with little muscle definition, most mistake him for being sickly when in reality he's just a pale guy with high metabolism, and skin that has an aversion to wanting to tan. Arick has a scar running from the bottom of his neck to the top of the first rib cage, and has piercing hazel eyes with a thick head of dark brown hair, along with facial stubble.
Personality
Deep down he has a big heart that has love for everyone, though outwardly he often can give off a cold and stoic demeanor. Truthfully, those who know him will say that's just the outward shell; when you get to know Arick, he's very warm and inviting to those who have earned his loyalty and trust. But, those who manage to destroy those two will see a very cold, almost heartless side that many would not want to see again. He is more of an introvert, preferring to write and get lost in his thoughts, but if someone manages to get him to open up he can be quite the life of the party!
History
Originating from another world much like earth, Arick feels completely lost in this new world. Though he should remember why he came through, somehow the transit from his world to this one through the portal has caused his memories to become fuzzy. Nevertheless, he knew he had no choice but to find his way in this new world.
In his world, there weren't too many who were outright born with the gift of magic; many either did a ritual, made a deal with some demon power broker, or for the most part were purely mortal and human. The last memory Arick has was of him and his twin brothers standing in a triangle formation, though nothing after that could be recalled.
Moments after stepping out of the portal, or rather feeling like he was dumped out, Arick caught his immediate surroundings and began to flutter with many thoughts in his mind. Should he be afraid, or should he feel at ease for now? Some tall, ominous structure seemed to permeate his immediate peripheral vision, so that didn't help his emotional state, especially considering the sheer size of the object.

Unfortunately Arick didn't bring much with him as he didn't anticipate being sent into an world alien to him. Nevertheless, he at least has his wallet with him that holds his ID, some money that is obviously now worthless, and a picture of him with his two brothers with the very symbol that identified the magical bond he and his brothers would always share, which seemed to come from their family bloodline.
