Appearance
With more freckles than the night sky he used to call home, Dante has always been a bit of a mess. Unruly brown curls frame his face and rest at the nape of his neck, requiring a trim to stay maintained more often than he'd like for how long it required him to sit still. His clothes have a fine fit despite the constant wrinkles embedded in the fabric from how often he tended to mess them up, or toss them in a pile on the floor and wear them again a few days later with a 'sniff' test.
Large, brown, doe eyes have long since mastered the look to get out of trouble. Which is much needed as the multitude of puncture scars dotting his arms and up his neck leave identifying him easier than he'd like when he finds himself in trouble with the wrong crew. Even with his scratchy voice- granted he smoked, but not since his escape from the womb as his vocal cords tried to imply -that was still prone to breaking in the peak of puberty, he retains a more youthful appearance than one his age might assume.
Personality
Dante has long since used laughter as a way to dissuade from the more difficult topics that life, where he's from, is prone to bring about. Whether at his own expense or anothers there's always a way to make light of a situation. Granted this doesn't stop him from worrying about those he cares about. At any one time, he's assuredly running the risks of just about everything within his vicinity. His caution isn't necessarily for himself, but the few he chooses to care about, and he's not afraid to make his concerns known.
History
From the same Ascended-run land as Clemente, Dante never had the 'luck' of being gifted like the others. Born to parents without the advancements that left them wanting for blood, they were instead used as donors for the majority of the population. Commonly subdued for regular blood draws, it wasn't uncommon for one to sell their blood in larger quantities at their own personal health risk. In Dante's case, his parents didn't give him a say when it came time for the draws.
With the scars now dotting his body from greedy buyers, Dante endured the life set out for donors as best he could. His only relief from the day to day coming in the form of one he most feared. Clemente was different than the others, though his biological nature still posed a natural risk to Dante, he wasn't one to leave another person to die, no matter their biological differences. After quickly becoming attached to the young boy, and his sudden disappearance, Dante sought out his whereabouts.
To at least make sure he wasn't dead in an alleyway. Yep, that was it. Totally not because he was worried about his friend.

Regardless of his motivations, Dante stumbled after Clemente into an unknown world that dropped him off at the Spire with no clue as to what happened and a migraine.
