Not daughter, per se, but without Mort she would be a little baby soul, floating about his realm. Instead, she was placed in the womb of a woman named Circe Thanatos.

The Thanatos family is small, existing on the fringes of the Greatwood, known for their skill in funeral rites, embalming, and burial, and friendly neighbors of the Fae. They are devout followers of Mort, performing regular ceremonies and rituals under his blessing in an attempt to soothe and move on lost souls in the absence of Ludo. Circe, who was particularly pious and knowledgeable in the more ritualistic aspects of her family's work, prayed over the course of many years for greater purpose to serve Mort in whatever way she could. After years of ardent prayer, he appeared, and asked an important favor of her. While the family's work helped somewhat in Ludo's absence, someone with greater power, more connected to the divine, and free to roam was needed to soothe and move on the lost.

And thus, Delphia was born to Circe, named as the future oracle her mother knew she would become.
