Appearance
Gideon takes great care to manage his appearance to be impeccable, neat and cold. Standing tall and broad, he is a formidable presence that tends to intimidate anywhere he goes, from his often glaring and judging eyes to his deep voice.

He dresses neatly and modestly, fitting for a man of his position, and is very rarely seen in any state of disarray. With dark brown hair with a few strands of grey and a freshly shaved chin every morning, Gideon has a distinguished appearance. His eyes are a brown-grey.
Personality
Above all things, Gideon is a servant to the Old Gods and a devout follower of ritual. Some might call his absolute devotion and love for the Old Gods (and his willingness to stomp out any who don't share it) 'unhinged', but personally he believes that there ought to be more people in Caido willing to passionately stand up for tradition. He is meticulous and calculating when considering how to deal with his enemies, but can be prone to outbursts of anger if he sees disrespect to the Old Gods before him.

His own secret hidden flaw is a tendency to drink, which he keeps secret and despises in himself.

When talking to friends new and old he is charismatic, if intimidating, and friendly until he perceives a slight or disrespect towards the Gods. His charisma and ability to speak to the everyman is what has made him a successful preacher and leader of the Church, but there are rumours about a darker side to the Priest.
History
Born in Stormbreak to a religious household, it was no surprise that Gideon would grow up to become someone involved with the Gods (though his brother, who he no longer speaks to, has since left the city after not showing a lot of interest). As a young man he worked for a while as a porter and contractor in the city, believing it was important he felt the strain of physical work and labour before advising those who would come to him as a priest.

In his late twenties he began to truly devote himself to the Old Gods, taking on the role of a spiritual advisor and teacher to those in the City; after that, joining the Order only made sense: after all, he already despised the Voice and her followers. It felt like Godly duty to follow on from his words and take action where he could.

Gideon has been the spiritual backbone of the Order for the last twenty years, teaching and making sure that the God's wants are followed to the letter.
