Appearance
A strong jawline and bright blue eyes are typically one of the first things you’ll notice. The rest of him doesn’t stand out – a fairly average height, physically well built, pale skin, and dark hair make up the rest of him. He looks great for his age, all things considered, if it weren’t for the currently minor marks and scars that have been etched into his skin.

And his arm, for the moment, a half destroyed thing that will likely need to be replaced at some point.
Personality
He's more of an observer, when it comes to his personality. He chooses to watch people and learn things about them, whether or not that's to be used to his advantage, he'll never tell. He's reserved about himself, has a bit of a temper, and prefers for people not to get close to him. It's easier to live a life alone than it is to be betrayed, after all.

He goes by "Cal" from his last name, a nickname given to him in the first war. Hardly anyone knows his first name to be Varus, aside from the Voice and those that might still remain from the first war. For now? Only those closest to him get to know him and call him by that name. It's Cal to everyone else.
History
It’s been a few centuries since he’s had to think about his past. He grew up well off, a rich family without any troubles or problems, trained as a soldier and lived quite contently, but war had begun to brew and Cal had known that there wouldn’t be a point where they got to avoid it. So he chose the best option – the one that wanted freedom for all of them to live amongst each other in peace, the one that wanted everyone to have the best opportunity to thrive.

He chose the Voice.

And so, the man became Ascended, to fight for the Voice and her ideals in the last war. It had almost worked, too, until there was a battle within the Wilds that left him trapped, shut down for centuries, only to wake in a world that had become so much different from the one he remembers.
