AppearanceHe often wears clothes he's made himself, but hey, he's become pretty good at piecing together his own outfits. Better than might be expected of the orphaned nomad boy. It may not be fashion, but it does the trick. Inky-black geometric tattoos wrap his arms and his legs, seemingly random except for one on his right arm that is meant to depict Ludo. PersonalityHe embraces everything that comes his way with an openness that's hard to rival. Literally, sometimes. If he could, he'd give the whole world a giant hug. Being kind is something that matters a lot to him, even if other people aren't so welcoming. That's what makes kindness so important, if you ask him. It might seem as though he's soft and easy to squish, but bear in mind that being so carefree in spite of it all requires a certain level of tenacity. It's no easy feat to bring Kova down from the clouds, not when he'd much rather lift you up with him. The downsides to Kova's bright personality are that he lacks forethought and he can be inconsiderate or tactless - whether or not it's intentional. He's the 'pick up and keep going', the 'leap before you think' type. While he's quick to bounce back or make a decision, others need more time. While he tries to bring people along on this journey he calls life... he won't let anyone drag him down with them, and at the end of the day he puts himself first. HistoryHe had a family, once. Didn't everyone? Parents, siblings, even a pet dog. He was only ten years old when the monsters broke into his home and shattered that picture-perfect life to pieces. The horrors he witnessed still plague him to this day, not that he shows it very much. He finds it difficult to feel truly safe indoors, preferring not to corner himself, and he doesn't get much sleep during LongNight. After tragedy struck his home in the Grounds and made him an orphan, he was taken in by an shelter of sorts in the Domiciles. He grew up with other lost kids, trying to bury their grief with good memories and fun games. He's held on to this sentiment very tightly. His only respite is finding the joy to be had in everyday moments, in living each of them to their fullest because one day... well, you might get eaten by terrifying monsters. Might as well live each day like it's the last. So it should come as no surprise that, when the barrier came down and distant horizons came up, he left the Grounds as soon as he could.
