Appearance
On the first appearance, one would see a thin man resembling more of a branch of willow than the actual stump. Kei has a thin face that is framed by long, black hair. Hair that is so black that it almost appears blue. Soft brown eyes that often cast a cold gaze, followed by a set of disgruntled appearing pinched lips. Oftentimes, Kei has his hair tied back into a high ponytail wrapped around with some kind of gossamer-like material.
Working inside an apothecary alongside his mother, Kei's clothes are often stained from different concoctions. Calloused fingers from pressing the pestle to the mortar or vice-versa, Kei is often dusted with some kind of powdery substance. Not wanting to look like an entire mess, Kei usually drifts towards wearing more earthy tones. He also tends to wear long-sleeved robes for the sake of protecting his skin when working in the apothecary.
Personality
In a family of soldiers, Kei has always felt out of the sorts. The type of 'out of sorts' has created huge insecurity. Thus, Kei is naturally quiet and tends to drift more towards activities that don't involve others (if possible), for the sake of not having to feel like a disappointment. He is completely devoted to his craft, which often leads him down a reckless road. Always seeking out adventure but never one vocalize the want for it. He often looks uptight, stiff-lipped, and unbothered - which reflects none of his own feelings, just ones that others have labeled him as.
He enjoys being on the side of the Accepted and the benefits that come along with it. Though, the superficial aura of superiority is not something he enjoys. He doesn't feel superior to others, he just likes the gifts that the status merits. However, if you ask him, he is fine with keeping up the uptight/righteous front, if it means no one can crack the ice of the rooted insecure person.
Kei actually leans away from being callous but is not one to show any sign of emotion. A face that has long been schooled to deal with oncoming emotions - he often appears like a blank piece of parchment, weary and lacking of ink. He also leans towards being organized. A person who carries a lot of different tomes, which he stuffs varieties of plants into (or really anything he perceives to be interesting). There are other things in the tome, too. Things he will probably never speak of -- unless someone gets close.
History
Growing up in a family of fighters, Kei is the self-proclaimed 'black-sheep' and would prefer to spend his days mixing things up than swinging a weapon. Having been born and raised in Stormbreak, he is from a known family which has made life a bit more bearable amidst the other things. He knows little of the things outside of Stormbreak, but he hopes to one day dip his feet into the unknown waters of Caido.
