Appearance
A tigershark mer who's shark half leans more on the darker side of the species' color specturm. Kaiden's human half is tan and muscular from all of their time in the water. Although mer are capable of stagnant sleep, which full sharks are not, Kaiden does tend more towards being on the move than taking deep rests, resulting in their increased strength. They have multiple scars from the many fights they find themselves in. Even if they don't start every fight, they do their damn best to finish them. They have dark, wavy, unkempt hair that they never bother to style apart from finger brushing any major tangles out. if they were human they'd probably be around 5'10" but their shark tail gives them their added length.
Personality
Found abandoned in a forest of kelp, Kaiden was taken in by a local family in a nearby town. However, in a small town full of mers with beautiful and extravagant tropical fish forms, a shark stands out. Ostracized and mistrusted for their shark half, Kaiden grew jaded and bitter. Every kind act was seen with mistrust and with hidden intentions. And so, they left and now wander the sea, often in their shark form. They refuse to get close to anyone fearing being abandoned for the third time.
History
Temperamental, guarded, impulsive, and proud. Kaiden is a volatile individual who has built their walls up taller than the ocean. With their shark form being the source of their recent abandonment, they've embraced their other half fully. While some may have grown to loathe it, Kaiden has instead embraced it. They've let their inner shark loose, often giving in to its instincts and desires. With a fear of abandonment, Kaiden latches onto the very few people who ever earn their trust and affection, which is no easy feat given how guarded they are. But they also have a soft spot for those with similar histories to them. No one deserves it, no one.
