Character Information
AppearanceAs naturally alluring as other merfolk, Lissa rarely looks out of sorts. Even though she keeps her dark, curling hair short, her natural femininity is undeniable. With dark skin, full lips and luminous, coffee-coloured eyes, one cannot help but be drawn into her mysterious beauty. Most of the time, Lissa wears little. What use are layers of clothes to weigh her down in the water? That isn't to say she dislikes dressing up every once in a while. Sometimes she plays modest, covering her breasts with fine textiles until the salt of the sea inevitably renders the fabric useless. Below the waist, Lissa's mer form reveals a silver-blue snake tail so pale as to be nearly white, with sharply-contrasting black stripes. The end of her tail is shaped like an oar to propel her quickly through the water. As a fully-shifted sea krait, she reaches four feet in length. Often, Lissa embraces additional features of her shifted form, even when she chooses to appear mostly non-threatening. Taking on sea snake attributes, a deadly edge creeps below the lovely surface. Scales might grace the column of her neck or decorate her ribs; fangs might be visible when her lips stretch into a grin. It depends on the day and whatever fancy strikes her. PersonalityVain, proud and short-tempered, Lissa may be quick to offend, but she also loves to laugh, sing and converse. Prone to changing moods on a dime, Lissa might be full of child-like wonder one moment, hissing and scornful the next, depending on how she is treated. Much of Lissa's time is spent in isolation. While she does enjoy her own company, it's a welcome change when she encounters others. Times like those bring opportunities for Lissa to get things she wants. There are several ways to snare the naturally-curious mer. She accepts various sorts of offerings:
HistoryOtherIt must be noted that a sea krait's venom is among the strongest of all snake species. Not all bites are lethal; Lissa must intend to inject her prey with venom, but if she does, those afflicted suffer from immediate agony. If not treated quickly with antivenom, death follows in a matter of minutes. Even after treatment, the afflicted may experience continued pain, immobility and hallucinations. If Lissa has a good reason to bite, it's not likely she'll give over the antivenom. But she might offer it in exchange for a favour.
