The first thing that someone might notice about this wayward wanderer is his sheer size. Standing at six feet, seven inches, Tristan is tall with an equally impressive musculature that can initially appear intimidating. Weighing roughly two-hundred and fifty pounds of sheer muscle developed over years of hard labor, fighting, and training, his skin is a rich tan from years of being in the sun and working on the farm. His hair is long and falls in waves about his face, neck, and shoulders, the light brunette locks framing a handsome face, a trimmed beard, and gentle, warm blue eyes.

Tristan’s wardrobe is a simple, mundane one; cotton shirts of varying styles and earthly tones, comfortable breeches and boots, and leather armors. He prefers clothing that fits loose and comfortably, greatly disliking anything that borders on ‘restricting’, and downright detests gaudy outfits of loud colors or expensive quality.

He carries a simple yet durable sword, a woodsman’s bow, and two daggers.

Tristan also wears a pendant around his neck and keeps it tucked beneath his shirt and out of view.
A man who smiles easily and laughs often, Tristan hardly knows a stranger and lacks many enemies. He is charismatic and charming, carrying about him an almost boyish sincerity despite his mature physicality. It is in his nature to never judge anyone who hasn’t done something to deserve it, and he does his best to see the best in everyone no matter their beliefs or creed.

Having inherited his mother’s adventurous spirit and his father’s profound loyalty, the wanderer thirsts for the unknown and for adventure, eager to make a name for himself amongst the world. Loyalty itself means a great deal to him, and Tristan would readily lay down his own life for the few people he takes into his inner circle.

Due to his simple upbringing in the countryside, he is not particularly studious or learned, but he is fond of books and can occasionally be found tucked away writing in an old journal or reading a captivating novel. Tristan knows nothing of the ‘finer things’ in life and finds himself most comfortable in the presence of those like himself, those who also came from humble beginnings. When faced with inevitable propriety, he will always do his best to be polite, but clearly lacks proper etiquette when engaging the more ‘upscale’ people of the world.

Trained from a young age how to handle a sword, Tristan enjoys a good spar every now and then, always eager for a honorable fight.
Born of humble and simple beginnings, Tristan’s youth was uneventful yet full of warmth and love.

He was born within a farmstead in the middle of the woods, the result of a profound love between a gypsy woman and a brave knight. Born strong and healthy, Tristan was a happy baby, and that happiness remained throughout his childhood and into his teenage years. He eagerly assisted upon the farm, and when old enough he would run errands to the nearby town for his parents. It was a good life, and while they did not have much, they had each other and that was enough.

Throughout his entire youth, Tristan was told stories of the myriad of adventures that his parents had experienced during their younger years. Captivated, he would listen, his restless heart yearning for the unknown, for adventure of his own. His loves of the world became clear; adventure, a good book, and the forests surrounding his home.

It was in his youth that he learned that he was different, however. Born with some kind of innate magic, be it fluke or a recessive gene, the ability to shapeshift was something that Tristan was born with. It came naturally to him, almost as natural as breathing. He certainly couldn’t become any animal, no, but instead could effortlessly shift his frame into that of a wild wolf. His parents, upon this discovery, seemed completely at ease with it, for they both knew of the old, ancient magics of the world and the plethora of mysteries they held. No matter this new development, they loved their son dearly.

Tristan left home shortly after his twenty-first birthday, eager to make a name for himself in the world and achieve some form of greatness, be it personal or otherwise.

There is no knowledge as to how he arrived into Caido, however. The memory of that venture is oddly blank. What brought him there? How did he enter this strange ‘bubble’, keeping the people inside of its oppressive dome? Tristan doesn’t remember, and while uncertain if he ever would, the man is eager to leave the dome behind and venture to the world outside.
