on the wild hunt - Melita - 05-05-2025 Melita had been concocting plans – which was a dangerous pastime for someone with poor impulse control and a veritable license to commit chaos where she saw fit. But these machinations were for her favorite vessel, to make it more than a streamlined speed machine, but also with some power and finesse upon it. A little more ammunition, if you will. So she landed the precious Firecracker nearby before embarking towards her favorite shrine, encompassed with a lot of goodies for Ludo. Beebopping and skipping over the water, she eventually made her presence known with a collective amount of trinkets. First, one of her more recent duck embodiments – a very raggedy god inspired one, complete with bits of cloth and matching masks, some taffy and fudge acquired from the nearby shops, and a set of magnetic tiles that seemed to be utilized for making all sorts of things. She stacked a few colored ones to look like a box, then left it for the herald to arrange if it was so inclined. Then she bowed her head, nestled with a hum under her breath. [say]“Hey Ludo,”[/say] she started, taking a deeper breath. [say]“Hope everything’s going all right,”[/say] perhaps with carting off souls or if she was doing well on her end (she thought so; but then again, maybe she hadn’t bullied enough regions) of all these bargains. [say]“I was wondering if you’d be able to help me get some cannons for my skyboat.”[/say] -- [say]Melita is hoping for a quest to have cannons on her skyboat! Regional Score bonus: +15 in all shrine visits, drops, PQ+s, KQs, etc. (You must post this at the bottom of any post where a +15 should be included). Residents cannot be cursed at shrines in this region.[/say] RE: on the wild hunt - Ludo - 05-09-2025 [say]"Melllllllita!"[/say] Ludo trills, peeking out from around the statue of the shrine with little black-tipped fingers and a mischievous grin. As always since her ascent to demigodhood, the raggedy herald takes the form of an equally raggedy youth, dark hair plastered to its face, dark eyes wide and hungry as it gazes down at the plethora of trinkets brought for it. [say]"You always bring the best presents,"[/say] it announces, sitting itself down amid its treasures to eat some fudge and play with the magnet tiles. The duck, of course, is surreptitiously squirrelled away in its rags, as if this is what it counts as an actual offering. [say]"Things are good. People die a lot,"[/say] it says with a shrug. [say]"I liked your dodgeball. I was going to join, but it was too cold up in Halo."[/say] A note for next time, though. Anyway. Cannons. [say]"Ooooh,"[/say] Ludo gushes, nodding and cramming another piece of fudge into its mouth. [say]"Yes, lets!"[/say] Melita has received a quest from Ludo! She must: 1. Complete a training thread on board the Firecracker. 2. Complete a thread collecting Smoulder Blossoms from The Climb. (Don't get burnt!) 3. Complete a thread making something explode in whatever manner you deem appropriate. 4. Complete a thread collecting rock and ore from Apopo. RE: on the wild hunt - Melita - 05-09-2025 She watched as Ludo, herald and youth, clambered along, snagging at her trinkets. [say]“You’re welcome – you deserve ‘em,”[/say] she twittered in response, content to watch and witness any playful antics, sharing time and space with the raggedy essence. As for the dodgeball, and the fistfights that ensued, she grinned again. [say]“Mm. Next time I can pick a warmer place for chaos.”[/say] She’d just figured Halo had been deserving its fair share of mayhem, without all the doom and gloom it’d received in the past few seasons. Maybe the Climb would be suitable…and they could throw fireballs instead… Broken out of her musing, she listened to the descriptions and necessities for the required cannons, machinations already churning once more in different directions.
