Liam
And I feel like my castle's crumbling down
And I watch all my bridges burn to the ground
And I watch all my bridges burn to the ground
If he’d known that agreeing not to move to Halo would bring even a ghost of a smile to her face, he’d have mentioned it sooner. As it was, the expression was gone before Liam could blink, so quickly that he was scarcely even aware that it had been there. He resisted the urge to reach out and clasp her shoulder in solidarity. She’d lost everything, or near enough to everything as made no difference, and he wanted her to know that he was here to help, however she needed.
”Of course,” he agreed readily enough when she asked for his help. ”And… if you need somewhere to stay, I’ve got a spare room.” He paused, then added. ”There is also an inn, although I won’t vouch for how comfortable it might be.” Seeing as he’d never had a need to use it himself, he had no idea what state the rooms might be in - especially after having gone so long without travelers coming through regularly.
”Just let me know when you’re ready, and we can head into the village.”

And you don't want to know me, I will just let you down
You don't wanna know me now
You don't wanna know me now
