'Checking out the pool' was something that Sohalia could get behind, seeing as she'd essentially come to do the same thing. Holding up the shiny rock she'd brought with her, she gestured towards the water. "Oh, I was just going to make a wish," she said with a sheepish smile. "I'm not really sure that it does any good, but it makes me feel better sometimes."
But maybe she wasn't quite ready to make a wish, or maybe she didn't want company as she did it, for she pocketed the rock instead of tossing it into the pool. When Melita offered training, the Luminary jumped at the opportunity. "I haven't done hand-to-hand in a while," she said, thinking back and failing to come up with the last time she'd practiced with anything other than a staff or a glaive. Noting the wry grin that appeared on Melita's face, the girl paused. "I'd say to take it easy on me, but I guess that won't do much good." After all, a real enemy wouldn't hesitate just because she was out of practice.
