Sohalia's blow missed - which, honestly, she'd kind of anticipated. She'd never managed to hold her own against someone like Mel for long, and she didn't think that today would be any different. Still, she wasn't anticipating the punch to her upper chest (which landed), and she staggered away from the blow after, surprised and grateful that it hadn't been more powerful a strike.
She wished that she had Mel's ability and confidence, but alas, she was a mere mortal in comparison to the demigoddess. Grinning at her friend, she stretched out her neck. "How do you know all these different ways to fight and weapons and stuff?" she asked, curious. She didn't think she'd ever have that kind of knowledge about so many different things.
