Nova
The best way to predict the future
is to create it.
is to create it.
The illusion of her excitement fractures a little at her sister's response, a crack splitting to let the disappointment seep through. Her smile falters, a pained look entering her eyes as her voice becomes heavy without the forced enthusiasm. "I don't want to leave either, but..." The skipping pace of her walk slows to a drag, sorrowful and full of worries that Vesper had gently soothed on hours before.
Looking to Caly, her eyes betray the fears. "I want to be near Vespy. What if something like this happens again?!" What if he gets hurt this time? What if Caly is the one who wants to leave again? What if they can never settle in one place? Nothing is guaranteed except for the love she has for her siblings, and she refuses to let that go.
Nova takes a deep breath, tightening her hold on Caly's arm and trying to reinfuse the brightness of her attitude with positivity and possibilities. "Just because the Sunbean can move doesn't mean we have to. We could still stay in New Haven for a while, but then we'd have the choice to leave and come back whenever we feel like it!" Her gaze searches out the horizon like she can see their future in the ripples of heat. "It would give us freedom and options! And it'll give the Sunbean a myst~erious vibe that will draw more customers!" She tries to giggle with the same sparkle she usually would, but the nerves strain against the sound, the effort falling flatter than she wants, so she smiles a little wider.
