"Mm. Sam pointed out that they could be useful for training purposes... except the ones we've found so far tend to be fairy tales and fantasies. So I'm not sure if they were made purposefully, or if they perhaps absorbed enough latent magic to gain a sort of limited sentience, and fairy tales and the like are more susceptible to it...?" And intriguing and pleasantly diverting train of thought, and the bard chuckled at his friend's request. "Come by your guild more often!" he teased, "And I'll be glad to!" It would go in the Vault with the others if he did, regardless of how benign the story itself was. No one wanted to get booknapped when they weren't planning on it, no matter how pleasant the tale!

Caiside's preferred tributes brought an appreciative grin to Jigano's face as he stretched beneath the sun and turned to give another side of himself a chance at the light. "No wonder you're fond of bards," he teased. Another thing they had in common!

"Ahhh, it sounds fascinating." The words were wistful, a wish for something that he could never experience now. Though Caido had wonders and gods of its own, such as the Sparkbird. Terrors, too. Plenty of terrors.

Before he could let his mood darken with that thought, Caiside's pale hide sparked a memory of peeling skin and tender flesh - not his own, thankfully, but he was of Tian Xia stock thanks to his parents, and not as light-skinned as most Numerians tended to be. He hid a grin at the sudden expletive - it could be nothing else, in that tone! - and sat up to give his friend room to grab for his covering. "A son of the sun and god of wildfires would indeed be impervious to burns, I would think. Here, though..." he sighed and shook his head, reaching for his own shirt as well. "We have probably caught enough sun for now, at least. Shall we head back to the shore? Perhaps we can forage for some fresh fruit on the way back..." There was no denying that the food from the Wildwood was larger, healthier, and more flavorful than that within the barrier, and it made a delicious treat as well as a thoughtful gift to bring back to their friends in the Settlement who didn't get out as much.
