AMALiA
Amalia and Jyoti lead the way, the starwhale easily picking paths through the dense and ever shifting forests. There are few words exchanged between the women: they are not friends, simply allies through necessity, united by a common cause to try and save the world.

You know. Everyday things.

By the time they reach the middle of the wood it is late in the short day, twinkling stars lighting the sky. Amalia shifts her eyes to a leopard's, the better to peer into the dusk; the staff in her hand and the whale at her side let off enough light to follow the trail by, especially for the feline girl.

At last the towering tree rises into view and Amalia draws to a stop, turning back to look back at Roana, her eyebrows pulled into a thoughtful frown. "Alright. What's the plan?"

Roana was perfectly fine walking in silence alongside the baker and her rather magnificent companion. Her eyes required a little more light to see by, and so she carefully flicked the light ring she had on, adding about a single lanterns worth of light to their path. Her other hand rested against the hilt of her claymore, prepared to draw it and strike should anything attack them. But save for the ominously shifting forests, it seemed nothing particularly murderous was about.

As they came in sight of the Great Tree, her blue eyes squinted. She had been so ill and hurt when she had been here last, her memories of it were fuzzy. But she looked back over at Amalia as she spoke. "Phoebe said the blight spreads fairly quickly. So we see if I am actually the carrier. That would eliminate other possible causes." she said, glancing around. Roana spotted a healthy plant and and knelt, carefully plucking a small leaf from it.

The blade master drew Krosis slightly, pressing her thumb against it, not even registering the pain as she made the tiny cut in her skin. She pressed a few drops of blood against the leaf, making sure to spread it over a small tear in the plant. Now to wait.
