oliver
There's a nod as Oliver listens to Jigano. Most likely he'd be going to Remi for help, considering the fact that he didn't know this Evie person and the fewer the number of people who know he's not a natural blonde: The better. Remi seems like someone Oliver could trust with that big of a secret and honestly, he had no intentions of ever telling Jigano. He also had no intentions of freaking out in front of Jigano and that went so well. "Yeah, I'll talk with one of them soon." He wasn't going to diss Evie so fast, especially not verbally. Just in his head, yeah, that's fine.

Unfortunately, Oliver knew he had a last name. He probably had a middle name too or something. "I know I have one, but maybe it didn't matter that much to me. That could explain why it's not important enough for me to remember?" It sounded less like a confident thing and more like Oliver simply guessing what could be the truth. Jigano did have a point and honestly, he could live for the rest of his life not knowing his last name. Last names are meant to be a family thing, but when none of your family was here? Yeah that shit doesn't matter, not at all. He's not like the Launce-whatevers. He doesn't really care that much about having a rich, fancy family. That stuff is unimportant and arbitrary in his opinion.

Letting out a soft sigh, Oliver stood up and shook Jigano's hand. "Sorry that our first meeting had to be so...stressful. Also sorry for not drinking all of your tea. It was great, just got a little heated on my end." There's a hint of blush on his face, embarrassed over how childish he had been behaving as compared to the mature man before him. "I'll come back and see you sometime soon...hopefully then I'll have a bit more fun questions to ask you?" There's the hint of a smile on his face. At least Jigano was still willing to invite Oliver inside of the Guild, that's a good thing.

"Hopefully I'll see you around? Maybe?"

Jigano nodded at Oliver's reasoning on his last name. He didn't know enough to be able to say either way, but it was certainly plausible and a place to begin. Perhaps he would remember it someday down the road, or perhaps he would take a new surname, either joining an existing Caido family or making his own mark with a trade or feat worth passing down to any offspring he might have.

He shook Oliver's hand with a firm, warm grip, smiling at the younger man's apologies and giving a slight shake of his head. "I hope it helped you to learn a few things about yourself and what you want to do," he said gently. "That's what we're here for. The rest is of no matter." The undrunk tea didn't bother him in the slightest, and after the Blight he had a very different outlook on heated discussions. "Debate is the heart of wrangling new information into a sensible structure. I am not always easy to sway," he admitted wryly "But that doesn't mean I'm always right, even if I sound confident. It's perfectly alright to disagree with me, and you should know that I won't take it personally. Fun or stressful, bring any questions you have to this door and we'll see what answers can be found for them."

He bowed slightly, then escorted Oliver towards the stairs leading back to the main floor of the Atheneum and out of the guild, his smile widening at his young friend's final question. "Absolutely," he assured him. "If you need help, just post a notice to the Board in the Temple or send a note to the Guild, and I'll be there if I can."

And a few days later, when it came time to plant at the Spire, he would be.
