From being an Abandoned who had rarely left the Hollowed Grounds, to embracing the call of adventure, to dying and being reborn first as an Ascended and then as an Ancient, Maea has gone through quite the amount of changes in her life. One thing remains common, though, in her attempts to find out just where she belongs; she’s always had a craving for knowledge which has brought her to so many places and to meet so many people here in Caido. We can’t wait to see what else is in store for her!

"Magna Vermis? What's that?" she asked, hoping it was some sort of treasure. The idea of her mother being a carnivore was... uncomfortable.
"The flowers are nice but no matter what beauties we plant today, they won't compare to you."
That was possibly the corniest thing anyone had ever said to her. How was she supposed to respond to that? Instead of replying, she flashed Dante her biggest, most charming smile. That ought'ta do it, she thought.
After Oliver gave orders, Cass headed off with the intention to dig little holes in the ground. She found herself a spot away from the others (but not too far away from Dante) to plant her flowers. Now, it was time for the digging part.
Getting the bulbs underground shouldn't have been a problem, but she was new to this, and there was always a problem. Today's issue? She had no damn clue how to use a spade. Oh well. She'd have to learn by miming the others.
She looked around: Kaimana was just standing there, Dante was digging in the dirt with his paws like a puppy, and Jigano was kneeling, then leaning on his hands... Is he about to throw up? she thought with some alarm. Oliver was the only one acting like an actual human being. But Cass didn't know he was the normal one, so she gave up and went with the horse method: pawing at the dirt like you're kicking your stall door. She kicked the dust with her shoe to little avail.
With everyone leaving, Oliver decided he would check in on them in a bit. Focusing on his own work for a short bit, Oliver dug a hole using one of the tools and delicately placed in the sapling. He would proceed to carefully pack in the soil before grabbing one of the jars of water and pouring it onto the plant. With a satisfied nod, he stood back up and decided he should check in on everyone. He grabbed the basket of jars and made his way first to Jigano. It was satisfying to see all he holes that Jigano had dug, each almost perfectly aligned and symmetric. "You've done great, go ahead and cover them up with dirt and add some water." He would place down a jar of water before moving on to the next person, Dante.
Dante too seemed to be doing pretty well. While the boy did seem very distracted, he still had managed to dig an almost perfect hole for the sapling. Squatting down, Oliver got a good look at it. "Just make it a little bit deeper and you should be fine. Once you've done that, pack the sapling in good with some soil and then add some water." Oliver assumed that Dante should be able to do that on his own.
Standing back up, he made a glance over to Kaimana. With a raised eyebrow, he walked on over to the boy. "Thank you for bringing your tulip friends here, it means a lot." There's a smile on Oliver's face as he leaves the boy. It's fine that Kaimana wasn't in the mood to quite join in. Oliver had learned that Kaimana did things a bit...different. Besides, he wasn't harming anyone by watching.
Finally, there was Cass....and oh boy was she struggling. With a soft sigh, Oliver set the basket on the ground and walked on over to her. "I don't think that'll quite work, here, let me help you." There's a faint smile on his face as he squats down, waiting for Cass to join him. He would proceed to make a cup with his hand and dug it into the soft soil before lifting some of the dirt up and placing it off to the side. "See? You want to try and pick the dirt up. Make sure to put it into a pile, that it's easier to deal with after. You will want to be able to place the plant in the ground with all of the roots under the surface. Don't give the plant too much space, it needs to be packed tightly enough that it wont fall over." He'd then wait for Cassandra to mimic his gestures.

Jigano is completely successful and should be able to finish up.
Dante is almost successful and just needs to make the hole a bit deeper

"Giant earthworms," he cheerfully explained to Cassandra . "Taste like chicken once they're grilled up, but killing them can be a bit of a hassle. Hotaru has quite the knack for it, though!"
Jigano blinked with bemusement as Oliver told him to cover the holes, since he hadn't yet put seeds in them, but he only smiled and nodded as he accepted the jar of water. He turned to his bag of seeds and began to sort through it, pulling out six evergreen seeds and placing them in each of the holes before using his magic to gently pull the earth back over them. Then he stood and poured the water from the jug onto each hole, humming softly to himself.
And here was where it got interesting.
The threads of his magic vibrated and sang silent music in his soul as he played across them, calling on his earth magic to speed the growth of the six trees. As he knelt on the ground, hands pressed to the soil, his energy reached out through the earth he had earlier enriched, coaxing it to firm up around the seeds which began to open and reach upwards, tiny trunks growing towards the sky while slender roots delved down and out, building a lattice of support beneath them. The six evergreens spread and flourished with the combination of earth and healing magics pushing back against the dry, dead soil that surrounded the Spire. Jigano would remain there, pushing his energy into his tree-lined path to the obelisk's entrance while the others worked to complete their own tasks as he coaxed the seeds to seedlings, to saplings, to young trees as time passed.

"You're welcome, Oliver! But you should thank them- they're very brave, growin' here." Your smile is wide and earnest, as though there was some merit to the idea of the tulips possessing any sort of bravery. Oia would have corrected you - they've achieved enough sentience to respond to stimulus in the most simple of terms. They lack the capacity for advanced functions of fear or bravery - but Oia isn't here, so you're going to bask in the pride you feel for your flowering friends, free of frivolous factuality.

Wow. It's almost as though this flower planting session has been going on for way too long- so might as well finish it up! And lucky for these dudes, it is just that!
The planting goes amazingly well! So while Kai continues to do his own little thing, Jigano is fantastically able to finish up his task. With the plant well watered, things are going great!
Returning back to the main group, Oliver offers Kai and Jigano a smile before clasping his hands together. "And I think that should be it? I think? Just make sure that your plant is well secured and then clean up all of the tools! Once that is done we are all free to go, unless anyone here wants to help me carry the tools back." Otherwise, it seemed to be that everyone should be free to go. He personally turns towards Kai and offers him a smile. "You're free to take some plants with you, since I noticed you have a great fondness for them. I'm sure you'd be able to find them a nice home? If that's something you're interested in." Otherwise, Oliver would simply take them with him.
