Jigano grinned at Amalia's shyness, but nodded understanding, however reluctant. "Adam can have his own ridiculous wedding," the bard teased gently. "Do what makes you happy for yours. If it's just you and Deimos and Jyoti and Zuriel in the shrine in the fields, so be it. We can always have a party for you later," he threatened with a wink and a pulse of affection to reassure her that he was only joking.
In truth he shared her skepticism - at least, that he and Deimos would ever become friends. There had been too many things said and unsaid between them, frustrations unleashed... and Amalia left unprotected by one or the other of them, back and forth, again and again. She deserved better than being a bone of contention between them though, and he was trying to give her space to make her own decisions - and face her own consequences - without stealing her thunder. With goodbyes said and Isuma retrieved, he headed out and down the hall, feeling far lighter and more hopeful of the future than he had when he walked in earlier.
