Samuel
Tell me little dear if you've only lived here,
have you ever really lived at all?

Sam removed his hands from his eyes once it was clear the L'ma did actually want help. Oops. Deciding to help rather than further fuel his own emotional needs he stepped forward to watch the preparation of the sled, trying to think what he could do to better assist the creature get up into the shore and then maybe, somehow, the sky.

It seemed none of his Ascended abilities would really come in here...perhaps what was the most useful would be simple strength. He was hardly the strongest man in Caido, but he was not as weak as many thought. Getting in position by Ronin (determined not to look him in the eyes), Sam also aimed to push the L'ma onto it's sled and up the shore.

RANDOM EVENT
All of them help to get the L'ma to shore. Between magic and brawn, the creature manages to get closer and closer to the sled that Wessex brings down. The wings are attached, the L’ma not putting up a fight in the end. Though the creature does snap at Alina as she gets closer, having not forgotten the spear the Fae had pointed to it.

It slides along the ice created by Ronin to get onto the sled, and its relatively easy work for everyone to get it into the warm sands, wings attached, its eyes bright as it regards and croons happily as the feathers dry on its body. The L’ma finds its close enough to being in the air, to feel it through its feathers.

Once it’s there, provided the crowd around it has followed it up, it begins to wiggle along the sand, something like a snake as it moves across the dry sand far easier than moving along the wet sand would be. But it is one that it seeks. It’s happy crooning continues as it searches, passing by many close enough to touch it should they want to…

Until it reaches Jiao, the Fae that had created clouds and blasted away some of the sand in its way. When the L’ma finds the woman, it lifts its body somewhat, the makeshift wings following and casting a shadow along the woman before its head lowers toward her, pressing its beak against the Fae’s wings, crooning something that sounds something like chanting. The L’ma has chosen Jiao, blessing her with its call.

Just like that, as if the L’ma has all the confidence it needs now, it spares a glance to the rest of those gathered, slithering along the sand once more to slip into the water with wings included to disappear into the depths once more.

Congratulations Jiao! You have won a race-specific prize! RANDOM LIST | RANDOM SELECTION

Saiden, Loren, Amun, Weaver, Samuel, Maea, Nate, Ronin, Amalia, Deimos, Melita, Arialla, Jiao, Wessex, Raza, Jigano, Harper, Hotaru, Evie, Alina, and Rance may all use this as a drop for leveling. It also will count as an Rare Creature sighting.

Jiao

Busy with her work moving the sands as she was, Jiao did not notice that the L'ma was specifically moving towards her until the last moment, when she looked up and was confronted with beautiful creature before her; it was so spectacular from this close up she gasped, too overwhelmed to say anything to it's blessing but a simple "Thank you."

Then the creature did not flow up into sky as expected, but slipped back into the ocean - still Jiao felt there was a kind of peace in it's movements and smiled as she watched it descend into the depths, feeling that she had done something important.
