They headed back up towards the shrine building. It wasn't exactly the way they'd thought today would go, but then the uncertainty of life was part of the point of it. The uncertainty of what would come and, they supposed, whether or not tomorrow would.
But they were glad to meet a new friend of Miss Maea's, and to have learned interesting things, and to have gained new avenues to explore their question. It was, overall, a good day, and they hoped she would have liked all of this.
