don't you know there's a part of me
The little conversation with Saiden was one that Delta held onto. Maybe... it would be nice of her to give a little back. While some people did throw away things for a reason, maybe others would do nice with it? After all, she could only do so much with the things lost in the depths of the water.

Setting out, Delta found herself under the dock, swimming around and looking for anything that might be lost or thrown into the water. A bit of gleam catches her eye and she swims over until she sees a gorgeous necklace, entangled within the rocks. It isn't too hard to pry out and once it's in her hands, she can finally get a good look at the beautiful object. It's a gem that is wrapped in a silver wire, attached to a silver chain. The gem is a clear-ish white that reflects light and color back to her. It is absolutely gorgeous and as much as Delta would love to keep it, necklaces are far too hard to take care of. They get caught in her hair and sometimes just float away, unlike bracelets which stay on well.

Swimming up to the surface, she pokes her head up just long enough to get a good sight of the dock before attempting to use her water magic to propel the item up to the dock. Unfortunately, the moment that the object left the water, it fell right back down, slowly beginning to sink once more. Letting out a sigh, Delta grasped the object again and pushed her head to the surface once more. Reaching up, she'd use all her might to toss the necklace onto the dock where the object landed with a light thud and clink of the chains.

Time to see if anyone was out walking like humans love doing.

Born from dark water, daughter of the rain and snow
Letha was staying at the inn for the season of Deepfrost with a host of other Grounders that she did not know. Her heart, however, wasn't sure where it wanted to be. She was still unsure since she had taken a walk with Nate. She did not know if she belonged in the Hollowed Grounds or in Torchline. She had started to make a home--or, well, started to renovate a livable space from ruins--before meeting with the other Ascended and Wessex advising them to get out of the grounds. It was all a mess. It felt like a mess, and she wasn't sure how to clean it up.

So she walked.

Letha was a woman who had to move. If she fell stagnant, death would come for her. At least, that is how it felt. It felt like she would shrivel up like a raisin and die. While she knew that was not true, it was hard to argue with it when he body screamed so much for motion. For action. For creation. For distraction. Unable to contain it, she walked. This dock was becoming a familiar friend to the dark-haired woman.  The smell of the salt from the ocean was a comfort to her, and faces on the docks started to become familiar as well. She did not know names, but she noticed which faces sunk into dark alleys and which ones had the front of honesty.

With being so distracted in watching others and taking in as much information as she could in an attempt to press other thoughts away, Letha nearly stepped on the necklace. A glint of sunset light sparked through the stone and caught her attention before she was able to bend any of the wiring. With an intrigued hum, she picked it up. It was wet. With knit-together brows, the ascended walked over to the edge of the dock, looking down towards the water for any sign of where it might have come frrom.

The sound of footsteps is loud and clear and quickly, Delta ducks back into the water and swims towards one of the beams holding up the dock where hopefully, she was concealed by the boards of the dock. Now underneath the dock fully, she pokes up her head just enough for her hears and eyes to be above the water.

Staring through the cracks, she watches as a humanoid figure plucks up the necklace. Grinning from ear to ear, she ducks her head down just as the human is seemingly searching, very happy to see that her item has found a brand new home. While the face is obscured, she can still hope and dream of how the person will take good care of the item. Maybe she should do this more often, trade away the items she finds so that they can be put to good use, rather than piling up in her home.

Maybe...

For now? It's time to head home as it's getting late and one can never be too safe around the docks at nights, especially when the activity grows towards a more dangerous and risky route.
