From being an Abandoned who had rarely left the Hollowed Grounds, to embracing the call of adventure, to dying and being reborn first as an Ascended and then as an Ancient, Maea has gone through quite the amount of changes in her life. One thing remains common, though, in her attempts to find out just where she belongs; she’s always had a craving for knowledge which has brought her to so many places and to meet so many people here in Caido. We can’t wait to see what else is in store for her!
Congratulations, Maea!

Skinning and hosting by the epically talented Kaons, and functionality fanciness by the coding magic of Neowulf. If you ever see either of them around, make sure to show them some love!
There's a nondescript brown package lying in the center of a milling group of people. Right in the open, where the most eyes will see it. If one were to approach, they'd see parchment tacked to the top. A message is scrawled on top, in a variety of changing hands, as if to intentionally shroud the identity of the writer. The message is as follows:
There exists individuals who will not allow the False Shepherd to insert her pawns into our world. Followers of the Old Gods, know that there are those who seek to eradicate this infestation of unnatural creations. Let this be a warning to all who call themselves Ascended - you are not above us as your name implies. You may not bleed, but you will burn.
Inside, should the box be opened, there are severed hands. Fluid coats them in mimicry of blood, and they were clearly brutally hacked off. There is nothing else to be found.
"Clear the street." Morgan commanded in her loudest 'Captain voice', walking into the crowd with two guards either side of her. She had heard of some hubbub happening in the centre and wasn't sure what was going on, but anything that was distracting the people from the myriad of important jobs to be doing wasn't good.
She could not have imagined anything like what she saw when she reached the middle of the crowd, though. The note was too verbose for her to scan in the moment, but she saw 'Ascended' - along with the hands in the box, this was certainly going to be a problem. Bending down, she picked up the box and folded the lid back on, motioning for her guards to try and split the crowd. "Do not worry; we will deal with this." She assured the people around her then began to carry the box back to somewhere secret, where she could read the note and try to work out what was happening.
