Dear Loren ,
I hope this letter finds you well. I’m sure you heard that not everyone in the Hollowed Grounds survived LongNight, but Isuma and I made it through with only one new scar to show for it. I decided not to ask Evie for my old position so I could spend some time with Rory. LongNight always seems to remind us of how important the people we love are.
Rory and I will be leaving on our trip tomorrow, and I'm not sure how long we'll be gone. I had hoped to fit a visit in to Halo before we left, but there just wasn’t time. With the risk of spring blizzards we’ll take the long way around and swing through on the way back, when the weather is warmer.
Well, as warm as Halo gets!
