such a fugitive, you could've tricked anyone
The beach on his own (his own always being subjective to if one considered Hyperion a someone) was a magical place. He loved the way the waves lapped at the shore, frothy bubbles gathered at the surface, the crest of the horizon melted into the sky and the sun. Those dusk walks and flutters across the beach were some of the most peaceful moments, similar to his adventures through the greatwood... but wetter.

Now walking the beach with other people, was case sensitive, depending on the companion. In the book of thieves there are three people; those you can steal from, those who you might be able to steal from if you try hard enough, and those you love who you probably won't try to steal from probably. Beach walks with type one; fun, exciting, promising, have fun get new treasure. Beach walks with the second category, not worth it, get me out of this situation it is a waste of time, don't do it. Beach walks with the third however, were the best of all.

Naavi fell into the third category of course, and she was lucky because so few did. As he explored the shoreline with her now, watching as Hyperion hurried ahead of them, digging in the sand everynow and then, he felt a warm joy in his heart. Sure there were other things he could be doing, but this was enough. Naavi was always enough.

Naavi
Naavi walked alongside the younger fae, toes digging into the sand, watchful gaze following the mongoose. "The ocean is a beautiful sight," she hummed, pulling away from him as she caught sight of something shiny in the sand.

Thin fingers dig briefly before she's turned to face Keyes, presenting him with the shiny shell, dark eyes bright. "You're missing out on your liberation," she commented, as she came back to his side. "Are you sure that's okay?"

Sure, her brother was a thief... but he was still her Keyes. Nothing in the world could make her hate him, or view him as less than what he meant to her.
