He nodded, glad she had somewhere to go. Some in Stormbreak might cast her aside now as touched and tainted by those of the Voice, but Gideon knew how violent and forceful they could be. How if he were weaker of will and body he too would have had his blood stolen in the past.

"Stormbreak is the city of the Gods. Blessed and beautiful." Gideon informed her, unable to keep the proud grin off his face. "We have the Temple there - which I am the curator of - and many other miracles...you would be safe there, I promise, and never have to see an Ascended again." He had to imagine that would be an attractive offer, glancing across at the blood soaking through her clothes. Never again would she have to see that flash of fangs, the twisted face of the no longer human.

Pausing, he glanced over to her. Not overwhelmingly loved by the Gods, but not Abandoned. "Yes. You would be welcome. All who follow and serve the Gods are. If you do choose to head there, I have spaces for new faithful residents to stay."

Arialla

It wasn't far to Arialla's current home -- which made it worse, in a way, that she'd been attacked so close to the place she called home, in an area that she had to walk through every day.

"The city of the gods," Arialla murmured. Once the idea would have intimidated her -- after all, she had grown up without ever seeing a city. But now she'd lived in Haulani long enough that she could accept urban areas. Especially blessed urban areas. "It sounds wonderful."

And not just because of the lack of Ascended, though that would help. Gideon might think it was the flash of fang that would scare her, but the truth was the opposite: what frightened her more than anything was the idea that anyone could be Ascended, the fact that they couldn't be easily, visually distinguished from ordinary people. Not knowing who to trust was worse than seeing an actual monster.

"I see." Arialla didn't know any Abandoned well enough to really care that they were banned from Stormbreak for something they genuinely couldn't help. Instead she focused on the idea that she would be welcome there. "I've sworn to serve Safrin ... I would appreciate the help."

First she had to get inside and get cleaned up, maybe get some sleep -- though she wasn't sure she'd be able to rest, feeling the knot of emotions and energy in her chest. Then she could move.

"It is. When you're there you can really appreciate their power." Gideon said with a reverent smile, in love with his city and the ways it showed the superiority of the Gods; the tall towers, high walls, beautiful architecture and gardens; it had been blessed and it showed. The calibre of the people was higher too, from expelling those that were undesirable. Harsh? Perhaps, but necessary.

More Safrin allegiance...it was of course not a bad thing, but Gideon was definitely noting a pattern among those he met; it seemed that the Night Goddess had been very busy in the last years amassing her followers. "Then I'm sure she will be glad to see you bloom in Stormbreak."

As they came close to the place she was staying, he gestured openly with his palms up. "I can wait for you to get some things, get cleaned up and come with me, if you want, or I can just give you some directions. What do you want to do?"

Arialla

Arialla returned Gideon's smile, already enamored with the idea of a city devoted to the gods: to their power, their beauty, their majesty. She missed the temple environment in which she'd lived before arriving in Caido, and it sounded like Stormbreak was the closest she could get to a priestly life here. Though there was something else she worried she might miss if she moved: "Is Stormbreak near the sea?"

At Gideon's question, Arialla considered for a moment, biting her lip. Then she said, "It might be best if you just gave me directions. Seeing me like this, my hosts will want explanations and reassurances, and I doubt vanishing into the night again will set their minds at ease. I'd rather spend the night here and set out for Stormbreak in the morning."

Arialla's hesitant question brought a smile to Gideon's lips, both because he understood it and because he could reply to it affirmatively. "Yes; the city is built right into the cliffs and from most windows you can see the sea. It...is a different kind of sea from the one you might find here, but it's beautiful in it's own right. Wild and powerful." He'd always been fond of the view from the back of the Temple, the waves crashing on the rocks and the inherent majesty of the water.

"Alright. It's quite simple--" Gideon explained how to get to the Skyport, travel over to the city and where to go once she was there; to the Temple, where he would be waiting with rooms for her to stay in and worship for her to partake in. More faithful would always be welcome at his door and within the gates of Stormbreak.

Escorting her to her home, he bid her well and left thankful he had been there at the right time, able to thwart one of the Ascended's evil deeds.
