Torchline was still foreign to the hunter, but on the heels of Longheat he ventured through the portal to the hot, sunny land once more. He spent some time trading on the docks of Kaiholo Port. Luxere jerky for fish, a most rewarding trade. The fisherman quite liked what Noah had to offer, and the hunter was sent off with a whole basket full of fish. He knew that he did not have much time to spare when it came to the freshness of the fish, Noah could not help but take another small venture. He moved out towards the lighthouse, watching it rise above him with glacier eyes softened with wonder. Whenever he went to a new land, he couldn't help but be impressed with the works there. Whether it be carpentry, or masonry, the great fabrications always impressed him. Now, the lighthouse was the object of interest for the hunter. He stood at the base of it, head tilted back to look at the sheer magnitude of it's height. His hands pressed into the rough, reddened stone that made up the structure. It absorbed all of the day's heat, reminding him of the Greenhouse that would soon bless the Halovians. It, too, would collect heat from the sun and bring life.

we are like birds of a feather, we are two hearts thrown together
Out in the water was a boy on a raft. The raft was poorly built, but so it goes when you're only young and want to do everything yourself. On the top of the raft's 'mast', sits a pale hawk. Every now and then it rises off of its perch and tugs on a thick chord. Doing so adjusts the little raft's trajectory in the water, while the boy below cackles and paddles away valiantly.

Back on the beach are the boy's shoes and clothing. A bit farther away—Remi had had to chase after Mateo and strip as he ran—are a pair of threadbare shorts and a perfectly new and clean-looking white t-shirt.

will heaven step in?
As the man inspects the lighthouse, he is totally unaware of the escapades of father and son out on the waves. Had he been aware, he might have felt it warm his heart and relived the memories of his own father keeping watch over his play and exploration. Alas, he was totally involved in his own exploration of the structure before him. The wind picked up around him, watching the hem of his loose clothing and rattling them against his body. It was so opposite of Halo, and it still surprised him. He did not flinch like he did on the tundra when the wind picked up -- instead, he turned some into the hefty breeze and let it pull wildly at his hair.

A sigh, something content, left his nostrils as a waving, white bundle of fabric caught his eye. Glacier eyes turned just in time for the shirt to be lifted off the ground from the wind--and smack right into his belly. "Huh," The hunter grunted lightly as he grabbed the shirt, turning it over in his hands as he looked out. The sun blazed down on him and, despite one hand lifting to his forehead to help shield his vision from the harsh light, he could not see anything around him. With no evidence of the owner, or a place to return to shirt to, Noah simply shrugged and stuffed it in the pack draped over his shoulder. The hunter then turned, heading back towards the docks and shops of Torchline.
