Alea
would you like to play a game?

Unbothered by Locke and Maeve's embarrassment, Alea shrieked with laughter at Ludo's latest prank. The food fight seemed to have subsided, much to her disappointment, so instead of throwing one of the cupcakes Sah had considerately placed next to her, she took a big, messy bite of it instead. Her eyes widened as sugar -- something she hadn't tasted in years, if ever -- rushed through her system, and she began to laugh again, bouncing up and down on the tabletop.

"This is a great party," she said to no one in particular -- or perhaps to the Ludo doll still perched in her hair. "Thank you, Ludo!"

"You're welcome, sweetling." Ludo's voice will echo somewhere near Alea even as chaos continues to break out all over the party. For Remi's part, he will find the crown plucked tantalisingly out of his reach, only for an invisible presence to settle it back upon his lovely halo of curls for him. The food also begins to mysteriously rearrange itself back where it belongs, the tables cleaning themselves off.

(And something does yank teasingly at Locke's pants again, but he manages to keep the snake in the grass this time. Lucky him).

"Yes," Ludo announces, though it is still mysteriously not present (or rather, it's everywhere and you can't see it). "Yes, this will make a fine place for the festival. Thank you for helping me to decide! Make sure to bring lots of lanterns when the time comes!"

Ludo won't be responding from here, so feel free to continue to reply and close out the Mini Event whenever you like!

RONIN
the darkstar
light is easy to love.
It consistently amazes him, how his husband can inspire blooming warmth and cold horror all at the same time; such is the case, though, as he's kissed and as images of tentacles in the worst places dance through his mind. It probably explains why he quietly leaves the Lullaby to go and collect his crown, busy traumatised cleaning the rest of the food off his clothes while Remi and Ludo do their thing.

Only once his husband has been crowned once more and things clear up further does Ronin come around, clearing his throat and returning to his lantern making. As if nothing had ever happened. Yup. By the end of this party preparation, he's determined to walk away with more than mashed potato in his hair and the image of Locke's dick branded into his brain.
show me your darkness.
Code blatently stolen from queen of codes, Sky!

Alea went still at the sound of Ludo's actual voice, for once not a figment of her imagination -- she did know the difference, in truth, even if she pretended otherwise. Then she broke out into a wide grin.

"I'm going to need a lantern," she said to herself. She didn't really understand the lantern-making tradition -- it had been a long time since she'd celebrated the festival with other people -- but she knew that if Ludo said to bring one, she'd bring one. So she jumped off the table and scampered over to the lantern-making station to get to work. If her attempts were clumsy, well, they were certainly heartfelt.

Everything that was happening became a whirlwind around him. He had no one directly speaking to him, no one trying for his attention, and no one closing the distance around him. Mentally he nodded to himself, satisfied that he could get back to his work. He moved items around and pushed food into the dirt with his boots, paying little attention to if he decimated anything of value as he walked. They were all dismissed, and invited back for the festival. Turning mismatched eyes to Gwnyeverre, the dragon lifted from her perch in the nearest tree and glided forward. Her bondmate followed, and together they moved back towards where they came.
