Deepfrost The lamp is burnin' low upon my table top, the snow is softly fallin' The air is still within the silence of my room, I hear your voice softly callin' Crisp days and cozy nights and is that the sound of sleigh bells? Oh, no - it's just a Jingle Bug! Deepfrost has arrived, draping much of the world in a white blanket of cold. All seems muted and quiet compared to the bustle of Leafchange, as if Caido has lulled itself to sleep for the cooler months. Even the warmer areas will seem lazy and idle during this season; this is a time for rest and recuperation. Perhaps it's even a time for cheer and festivities! Doesn't that sound nice? Welcome to the Deepfrost 312 Seasonal Event! This event will run from September 1 to October 31. All requirements must be met to complete the event. Multiple characters can participate, but the threads do not carry across! (I.E. Both characters must complete all threads to gain +2 stat each). Please include {SE} somewhere in your thread title. Your threads must be 'finished' and archived in order to count. Holly Hornets | These silver and gold wasps come out when temperatures start to plummet. Attracted by the sound of merriment and cheer, their bites cause week-long redness of the nose. In many cases, noses may even glow red. Stocking Snakes | A cousin of Hanging Vine snakes, Stocking Snakes are pure white in colour until startled, at which point their skin becomes striped with a vibrant red and they emit an overpowering peppermint aroma to keep enemies away. These snakes are quite slender and can grow up to 5ft in length. Jingle bugs | These flying bugs have an abdomen that's the shape of a bell. Not unlike how crickets are able to chirp by rubbing their legs together, jingle bugs are able to recreate the sound of a ringing bell. Bells sounds vary based on the size of the bug (smaller bugs created higher-pitched bells, while larger bugs (the largest being the size of a basketball), sound more like a gong) Venus Wreath | Like a hydra of venus fly traps, the venus wreath is a sentient plant that keeps itself curled into a tight circle. With colourful bursts to attract small rodents and other bugs, what appear to be thorny holly-like leaves will snap shut on anything they can and immediately dissolve it with acidic juices.
