Maeve

Maeve didn't hold it against her. Not when the Honeybee didn't know. There were plenty of other things she could be upset about. This wasn't truly one of them.  Instead she offered a small smile, nodding in agreement even if not all parts of it felt true, "Perhaps you're right. I feel that some are still hesitant to trust my leadership, but I hope to prove to them that they can trust me." If only because it was true. Nevermind that it would make her life that much easier. Her attention moved back to their now limbless and faceless snowman, head tilting to the side as she regarded their incomplete creation.

"I'll go see if I can find something in the village." She finally said, intent on getting a few accessories for the snowperson. It didn't take long to acquire a carrot, a scarf, and a hat for it. A little digging in her bag proved to be successful as well, finding some stones from the Rainbow Road that Paige undoubtedly stuffed into one of the pockets at some point. Maeve returned with her wares, holding them up for Melita's inspection, "What do you think?"

Aidon, seeing his bonded press forward with her own creation did the same, working with Fangorn to make a smaller top to put on their miniature snowman. It took much more effort than either of them probably expected, but they push through. Soon, it had a head and simply needed its own accessories.

MELITA
Torchline had always been intriguing in its people. Ready, willing, and able to brawl, to immerse themselves into every trial and tribulation, into smuggling and thievery proportions, capable of turning a blind eye when necessary – but just and certain when defending their own land. Melita had been entranced by the water, by the sea, and everything else had fallen into place. The governing proportion of Torchline seemed to be its own strange entity – because so much of the land seemed capable of presiding and reigning over itself. At one point, she’d wondered why they bothered with rulers and governors – if only to adhere to some proportion of gods and the like. “Torchline isn’t a very trusting place.” And she laughed, not in a mocking way, light and airy as her breath curled and coiled in warm plumes amongst the winter abyss. “I think if you just keep doing what you’re doing. Improve it. Help defend it.” Sunjata got away with a multitude of things, after all.

While Melita began to place her haphazard rocks and stones for the eyes and mouth, she nodded at Maeve’s intention. Before long, the main proportion of its features had been managed, and the colors (easily recognizable from her own ventures at the Rainbow Road) caused her smile to widen. “Excellent.” She snagged at the sticks Maeve brought, placing them along the sides.

The companion’s work was something to be admired too. Fangorn grumbled and whistled and growled some obliging things, and then scraped along underneath snow for more stones (or begged the honeybee for extras). Copying their bondeds’ movements and motions, soon there was a little face (with fangs!) upon the head.
This is a gift, it comes with a price
Who is the lamb and who is the knife?
Midas is king and he holds me so tight
And turns me to gold in the sunlight

Maeve

Maeve nodded, smiling softly, "It's what I'll continue to do. I want it to be safe. A haven for all during the coming war. There will be many who can't flee to somewhere like Stormbreak and they need somewhere that's protected too." She finally said, adding the cap and scarf to the snowman, finishing it off with a grin. It's a nice little accomplishment and Maeve thinks that she and Melita make a good team. Both of them capable of some much, but sometimes needing a little help. A friend. Now she has another in the honeybee.

"Looks pretty good for my first snowman." And it was memory snow. It would be here for seasons to come. Maeve gave Fangorn some of her extra stones, helping the two finish up with their own snowcreature, laughing softly at the little fangs they added. "Adorable you two. Top tier work." Maeve praised easily, scratching the top of her companion's head and then giving Fangron a pat too.

With their work done, snowthings built, and wares bought the small part headed back the way they came towards the portal and towards home. Maeve feels lighter than she has in days.
