From being an Abandoned who had rarely left the Hollowed Grounds, to embracing the call of adventure, to dying and being reborn first as an Ascended and then as an Ancient, Maea has gone through quite the amount of changes in her life. One thing remains common, though, in her attempts to find out just where she belongs; she’s always had a craving for knowledge which has brought her to so many places and to meet so many people here in Caido. We can’t wait to see what else is in store for her!

Isla feels victorious even before Nate and Azrael appear, standing over the slain dragon and gazing furiously right back at the purple one as if to inform it that she will definitely be coming for it next. But then a shadow falls over her and Az's voice pipes up, and she feels a smile spread across her face that is little more than a baring of her teeth. "Sure you want to do this?" she asks the purple.
Honestly, she's not sure about its reasoning capabilities, so she slashes at it with her claws regardless. Maybe she can get it to back off - and if not, maybe Nate can pick up where she's left things. Between talons and a large dragon, purple has a lot of options to reconsider, she feels.

Scaled lips part once more in an approximation of a grin as they come upon Isla, their small party whole once again, and apparently grown. A rumble starts up in Nate’s chest as he comes closer, deepening to a rough growl as he catches sight of the purple whelp.
It’s a good thing his teeth are bared already, and an even better thing that Az has a solid grip, because as soon as Isla slashes at the irritating little beast Nate lunges with a growl, teeth snapping and the threat of a building storm crackling in his throat. A wing comes out to wrap protectively around Isla, trying to draw her in close so she can’t be vanished once again.
Nate lunges and snaps at the purple dragon, and tries to put his wing between it and Isla
Isla slashes out with her claws, creating streaks of red across the purple dragon's chest. Using his teeth instead of lightning, Nate adds to the wounds inflicted by Isla, and positions himself between the small dragonling and the Remedy.
Lashing out, the purple dragon tries to attack Nate, but the demigod is able to evade it.

The small purple dragon is suddenly spaced between Isla and Nate and Azrael honestly wants nothing more than to leave the space of the unknown, taking the moment that Nate’s on the ground and focused on the purple dragon to hop off of Nate’s back, sliding to the ground and darting toward Isla and the Prince.
Their hands reach out to tug at Isla and the Prince, a hint of desperation in their gaze. “Let’s just leave it and go? Please?” They ask, trying to get the group to slip through the portal to head out back into safety, trying to get away.
Az hops off Nate’s back and tries to tug on Isla and the Prince toward the portal so they can leave!

Say, times are hard, you get this far, but it ain't the way that you want
Isla isn't immune to Azrael tugging at her sleeve, and she turns to wrap an arm around them, happy for Nate to put himself between all of them and the danger. "I don't think it will let us do that," she tries to explain to Az, reaching out in the meantime to press a hand to dragon!Nate's scaly leg, releasing a pulse of healing.
"If it can teleport us, then we could end up being split up all over again. We need it to either leave or to..." Well, die. "...So we can get home." Glancing over her shoulder, Isla ensures that the Prince is still close, still safe, before glancing back between Nate and the purple dragon.

Azrael and Isla’s safety is the most important thing at the moment, and it’s with relief that Nate feels the young Demi-god slip off his back and to the relative safety behind his bulk. It’s all the relief he needs to focus properly on the last threat keeping them from leaving.
Nate is sick to death of this little purple prick, suck if it’s audacity and attitude, even when it’s so clearly out matched. Whatever pour might linger in his heart for something so small and alone has curdled, and it’s without an ounce of guilt that he surges firearms, a crackle of lightning preceding the small of his jaws as he tries to close them around the small creature and shake the life out of it, not unlike a dog with a squeaky toy.
Whatever it takes to end this, and get them the fuck out of this nothing realm and this kq
Nate attacks the purple dragon with lightning and tries to grab it with a bite so he can finish it off

Azrael makes suggestions, Isla heals, and Nate spews and chomps. The purple dragon, no larger than an animated scarf, is somehow able to evade Nate's lightning, but not his teeth. With a mournful cry the dragon goes limp in the the much larger dragon's jaws, sliding helplessly between his teeth and onto the nothingness of the ground.
With green, purple, and yellow defeated—and the Prince, that long-standing NPC finally discovered as a relic—the trio (+ the Prince), are now free to leave.
