And yet, it's everything Ronin wants. He won't say perfect, because words like that seem superfluous when they're thrown around so often. And so there's no dazzling starlight or professions of sacred and undying love this time; there doesn't have to be, not when the sweet press of Ronin's tongue says it all. "Maybe another couple of minutes," he whispers against Remi's lips, stretching himself luxuriously over the other man so he can enjoy the combined heat of their bodies and this stolen, secretive moment.
When they finally do get up to leave, it's without rushing. Indeed, Ronin takes as much care in putting Remi's clothes back on as he had impatience when it came to taking them off. Slowly, squinting into the afternoon light and smiling at the bunnies still hopping about, the Huntsman has his arm comfortably around Remi so he can keep him snug against his side as he steps down. It's the sort of afternoon that feels golden and slow, and remains that way even in memories afterwards.
