"The toymaker calls it a kendama," he rumbled in answer to Flora's question, quietly satisfied to see Melita so pleased with the toy. She proceeded to demonstrate the trick of it, sparing him from having to try and explain a toy he was unfamiliar with.

The final task left the mermanta more than a little bemused. He watched the humans dash off with immediate inspiration, but he followed more slowly. It gave him time to think as he neared the market and began to swim the canals through it, considering and discarding ideas one by one until something finally caught his eye. A fallen piece of a puzzle near the edge of the canal caused him to pause and consider the strange wooden shape until he realized what it was. With a slow nod of contentment he sought out the maker and traded for a complex jigsaw puzzle of sturdy wooden pieces to bring back. Its surface wasn't just painted but also etched and carved with a design of the Hale Ka'aila.

He set it on the edge of the canal before Flora with a twinkle in his eye.

Hadama brings back a jigsaw puzzle!

never be so kind you forget to be clever
"oooooOoOoOOOOoh!" Flora trills as she takes in the artist's materials and the puzzle. "Now, I sincerely hope we don't actually need to use these and that this silly war just...I don't know, solves itself--" It wouldn't of course and given that her dad and Ronin would likely be fighting in it (and maybe dying) Flora was well within her writes to joke about it (in her humble opinion). "--but if not, at least we all have some things to keep us entertained!"

So saying, Flora ensures that all the objects were distributed appropriately.

"Thanks for helping..." Flora murmurs sounding a touch more serious now as her fingers fuss with one of Melita's canvases. "This war...it's..." She shrugs. It sucked, it was stupid, people were going to die, it was coming up soon, huh? and loads of other unhelpful things.

"If I don't see either of you when it all goes down, it will be nice to have these things and think of you."
