RE: don't take time to sew the stitches - Charlie - 12-10-2024 Grinning adoringly at them both, the blonde lets her cheeks ground rounder and rounder with the force of her smile before shrugging. [say]"You know I love being around the both of you, but if I spend all my time doing that, I'm left choosing from whoever is still hanging around the Dusklight when you slip back to your new room."[/say] Flashing them a fanged smile, while Charlie certainly wouldn't turn down the opportunity to be sandwiched between them for a night or two, it really wasn't a longterm solution to the particular problem she was trying to address. Happy to work with the flowers that she and Kiada had brought back, Charlie gathers an armful of the pulsing red blooms and begins to lavishly sprinkle them around the room. [say]"Kiada said maybe she'd like these for her wedding."[/say] The priestess chimes as she tucks a few blooms around the handcuffs she'd draped across a shelf. Pausing to watch as Asta meticulously set out the daggers, it took all of Charlie's willpower not to breeze the tip of her tail across their shiny blades to ruin their uniformity. Instead she simply pulled out a few petals from the smoulder blossoms and sprinkled them overtop. Charles takes the flowers! RE: don't take time to sew the stitches - Dantalion - 12-13-2024 [say]"Why thank you, Asta,"[/say] Danta says, all but preening at being called a nightmare and plucking up the jars of blood since the others seem to have picked their tasks. [say]"I mean, you don't always have to stick around downstairs,"[/say] he adds (predictably) to Charlie, bouncing his eyebrows at her and uncapping one of the jars to grab a cloth and use the blood to stain the table with a rich red finish. [say]"But I suppose you've got a point."[/say] Once he's finished with the table he uses the other jar to add aesthetic splatters of red along the stone walls, and when he's finished, whatever is leftover in the jar is set lovingly on one of Charlie's crooked shelves. [say]"Ah, that's right. Are you going to be ensuring that they have a wedding Dygra herself would want to celebrate?"[/say] Winking, he approaches the next load of crates and starts cracking them open for their next tasks. Great job guys! Round 6: - One crate contains more blunt instruments, including hammers, clubs and maces. These need to be arranged in the room. - A second crate contains a wooden training dummy (in pieces) that has been stolen thrifted from the barracks. This needs to be set up. - A third crate contains some incredibly delicate glass ornaments - perfect for smashing and throwing. These can be placed on the shelves! RE: don't take time to sew the stitches - Astaroth - 12-14-2024 Flashing a shark toothed smile toward Danta to say you’re welcome, he continues his task as he hears the two of them speak over being left behind. And, perhaps surprising the priestess and the Maverick both, the butcher continues to put away the knives as the butcher adds a “[say]Danta is right, you are welcome to join us, darling.[/say]” Turning his attention back toward Charlie, in lieu of the bouncing brows that Danta had offered, Astaroth’s smile is equally just as sharp and playful. Because half the time it’s just talking until they sack out in a cuddle pile, rather than anything else. And even if there was the opportunity for more fun to be had, the butcher finds he wouldn’t mind the idea of Charlie being included. (See? He’s opening up!) That and there’s only two people in the Grounds that he doesn’t mind being touched by and they’re both in this very room. But he concedes, because he does understand what she means, and it gives him time to focus on finishing his tasks of the knives while they talk over Kiada’s wedding, the butcher’s gaze flits toward them when he sets the last blade into place, he simply listens given that he doesn’t have much of a role to play in the Registrar’s wedding aside from attendance, he assumes. Finding the crates, the butcher decides to snag the one that contained all of the pieces for the training dummy, lifting it to take it to a relatively open space, before he turns the crate and dumps it onto the floor letting its pieces roll about the ground before he gets to work meticulously piecing it together. Asta picks the training dummy! RE: don't take time to sew the stitches - Charlie - 12-19-2024 Gasp! [say]"Really?"[/say] Charlie's blue eyes grow Clearing her throat, the little ancient shrugs coyly, sweeping her long hair off of one shoulder and dampening down her flames in the process. [say]"Because that could be fun."[/say] She says casually, blue eyes still sparkling as she eyes the pair from beneath the curtain of her bangs. As for Kiada's wedding? [say]"Of course! She deserves nothing but the best."[/say] The priestess purrs; obviously what was best and what Dygra would approve went hand in hand for Charlie. Reaching for the box of glass ornaments, the blonde taps against one with her fingernail, shivering with delight at just how breakable it felt. Flicking her tail, Charlie begins to place the ornaments around the room, ensuring that some were set precariously close to the edge of the shelves where they could fall at any moment. [say]"This room is going to be incredible when it's done."[/say] Charlie takes the glass! RE: don't take time to sew the stitches - Dantalion - 12-19-2024 [say]"Really?"[/say] Charlie's eyes aren't the only ones that grow wide as Danta glances from Astaroth back to the petite priestess, the surprise and delight in his expression only slightly more subtle. [say]"If you're just inviting her up so we can put on facemasks and paint each other's nails..."[/say] he begins, narrowing his eyes again, [say]"then I agree that yes it could be fun. I just want to make sure I prepare myself."[/say] To have an awkward boner for the entire evening, you understand. Watching as the butcher assembles the training dummy and Charlie sets the glass ornaments, Danta takes the opportunity to set the clubs, mallets and maces sporadically around the room within easy reach, seeming pleased as punch when he's done. [say]"I'm very glad you think so,"[/say] he says, glancing around at the room now that it seems to have come to life. [say]"Just a few finishing touches, I think..."[/say] Winking to Charlie - and taking a second to arrange the training dummy in what seems to be a lurid pose - Danta approaches the last crate and cracks it open. [say]"Because what would a place like this be without liquor?"[/say] Round 7! - Charlie to take out the liquor and find a place for it to live in the room - Asta and Danta to clear out the empty crates and burn them RE: don't take time to sew the stitches - Astaroth - 12-21-2024 There’s a certain smugness that occurs to the butcher as he takes them both by surprise – and blissfully unashamed and not in the least bit embarrassed, the butcher can’t help but to pin Charlie with his sharp grin as she comments that it would be fun, before the grin is flashed over toward Danta in turn. “[say]That too, I am sure.[/say]” He says of the facemasks and nail painting, and he suddenly finds himself quite busy with the crate containing the training dummy as he continues, tail sweeping behind him in amused flicks. “[say]However, I did intend what I said, how I said it.[/say]” Busying himself on finishing up the training dummy, the butcher gets it set up in a way that has it a plain figure, easy to ignore and forget is there, Something he rectifies with a swipe of flame to burn the fabric into a dark and grotesque smiley face, before he withdraws and slips over toward the finishing touches, leaving Danta to arrange the dummy however he saw fit. He brightens up at the idea of liquor being within the room, as well, but he focuses solely on the fact he’s now collecting the empty crates from around the room, containing it all in one section away from everything else so as to not catch flame. “[say]I do hope you brought ’the good stuff’.[/say]” He says with a chuckle, despite knowing the Maverick would have, his smile remains affixed to his face as he sparks the first crate alight in flame and begins to work on the rest shortly after so that they could sweep up whatever ash was left behind. RE: don't take time to sew the stitches - Charlie - 12-22-2024 Meeting Asta's gaze, however much some might be inclined to shrink beneath the weight of his honeyed stare, Charlie practically vibrates with delight as his gaze pins her. Even if all the Butcher had intended was for a bit of pampering the priestess would have understood the gesture for what it was—polite and charismatic though he was, she knew that there were few places the butcher allowed himself to properly let his hair down, his den with Danta certainly being one of those places—such that she'd treasure the time spent with him even if all she was doing was pushing back his cuticles. To even think about doing more had a flush of colour drowning out the blush Charlie had applied to the apples of her cheeks. [say]"I bet we could have some fun in here, too."[/say] She comments casually, blue eyes flitting to Danta and then back to Asta with a toothy grin, before setting her attention on the crate of alcohol. [say]"So once this is all said and done...this room will always be fully stocked, right?"[/say] No matter what was drunk, spilled, or smashed, when the door was closed and re-opened, all would be just as it was now. Whistling under her breath as she dart!ed about the room, Charlie made sure to place some of the bottles in locations that would clearly cause the glass baubles to smash on the floor when they were taken, while others she paired with various instruments of RE: don't take time to sew the stitches - Dantalion - 12-23-2024 [say]"Of course you did,"[/say] Danta drawls to Astaroth, his own cheeks heating up as he considers the other man and the priestess positively vibrating with excitement somewhere next to them. [say]"And yes I did bring the good stuff, thank you. I wasn't going to bring any old swill from the Dusklight out to stock a room blessed by Dygra, was I?"[/say] Indeed, Charlie will find rich reds, liquors, and even the odd vermouth to place around the rage room as she pleases. In the meantime, Danta grabs up a broom to be able to sweep away the ash leftover from the crates that Asta burns down, offering a smile to the priestess as he goes. [say]"That's my understanding,"[/say] he says. [say]"The room is just a living snippet of time. When the door closes and opens, it - and whoever was inside it - goes right back to how they were when they crossed the threshold."[/say] But it isn't quite done yet, and so once he's satisfied with his cleaning up, Danta reaches for one last bottle sitting just outside the door to the room, along with a trio of glasses. [say]"This is great work,"[/say] he says, quietly earnest in his compliments. [say]"So last but not least, join me for a toast?"[/say] He pours out a measure of liquor for each of them and offers it out. ROUND 8 LAST ROUND! Make a little toasty toast and have a drink to our success! RE: don't take time to sew the stitches - Astaroth - 12-26-2024 Truth be told, Asta does expect it to be a surprise, but he doesn’t expect to see the flush of warmth in brilliant hues of pink dust Charlie’s cheeks, flitting his gaze toward the Maverick to see the very faint hue dashed into his complexion too. “[say]Oh, I bet we certainly could.[/say]” He says instead, letting their surprise and flushes completely unfaze him. (He is amused endlessly, though, let it be known). Fingertips set the crates ablaze, his joke hitting the mark, and its with a fiery yet affectionate smile toward Danta that the butcher nods his head. “[say]Of course not, darling.[/say]” Only the best, as it were. So he burns the crates and watches as Danta sweeps away the ash left behind, and when each and every piece of wood is gone, the butcher’s arms twine behind him comfortably as he awaits the next task. Luckily for him, it’s perhaps the best task of the day, drifting closer to snag one of the glasses, the butcher holds his out for a healthy dose of liquor, before straightening back up – tail curling contently at the end of its spaded tip that does drift back and forth like a slow wag. “[say]To Charlie, for always being willing, able, and ready to continue to make space to worship Dygra in her Temple. And for always adding a flair of style. And to Danta, who has spoken with our goddess to make all these wonderful thoughts a reality and put in hard work to get it done.[/say]” He says nothing about himself, though, finding it a touch too over the top, even for himself. Asta makes his little toastie toast RE: don't take time to sew the stitches - Charlie - 01-05-2025 Though Charlie's eyes grow comically wide as Danta answers, her gaze becomes a touch distracted as she glances around the room, eyeing each and every implement that they've placed within. Flowers which would forever stay in bloom, shards of glass to be shattered and reformed in perpetuity, potables which would never run dry, and of course physical sensations the likes of which could never be matched outside of divine assistance. Biting at her lower lip, the heart-shaped spade at the end of Charlie's tail begins to flit back and forth faster and faster as she overlays all the things that she—and her two lanky counterparts—might experience in this room. Both together and separately. [say]"Mmm?"[/say] Blinking herself back into the moment, the priestess eyes the empty glasses. Dart!ing herself onto the top of the table, Charlie settles herself down onto her knees before sinking her weight back onto her calves. [say]"To Asta who is always full of surprises and who will undoubtedly be able to teach us a thing or two inside of these walls—"[/say] Arching a brow in his direction, she flashes the butcher a smile whose edges were frayed with excitement, before glancing toward Danta. [say]"—and to Danta for always knowing which strings to pull to bring everything together."[/say] RE: don't take time to sew the stitches - Dantalion - 01-05-2025 Similarly fired up to imagine the sorts of things that might occur in this room once it is finished and is able to be used for its proper purpose, Danta grins to his companions and finishes filling their glasses, setting down the bottle on the table beside Charlie so he might raise his own. [say]"You are both far too kind,"[/say] he purrs at their toasts, clinking his glass with the butcher's and then with the priestess's. [say]"To Asta, for being the best right hand anyone could ask for,"[/say] he says, inclining his head to the taller man. [say]"My shadow has never been so terrifying since the day you became it. To Charlie, for showing me so many new ways to worship our dark lady."[/say] He winks. [say]"And to Dygra, of course, for making all of this possible."[/say] Drinking deep from his glass, Danta resists the urge to shatter it afterwards. But only barely. WE ARE DONE! THANK YOU SO MUCH! <3 ~FIN |
