This is what they’ve worked so hard for. To be so open and raw and honest with one another that nothing could take away the fact they’re here now. That they’ve made it. That he can hold her in his arms and fight the tremors and flickers as they spark to life to wholly focus on her in her entirety and continue to tell her that he loves her, just as he knows she loves him back. He watches her, focuses on her, pressing in all that love and adoration and obsidian strength stalwartness that has him ensuring to her that he wasn’t going to go anywhere.
“[say]I’m not gonna go anywhere, liefde.[/say]” Comes the accented rumble, gentle and soft as his fingers thread through her golden hair, as he continues to focus all of his love and hope for their future together through the bond, despite any setbacks that may have occurred. He only twists enough to lean forward, breaking their gaze for a moment to press a series of kisses to her forehead, to her cheeks, salty with her tears, over and over again before he’s shifting to tuck her in a bit easier against him, curling up against her in turn on their couch – content to stay there for however long she needs.
