RE: he rose to the challenge - Zavien - 03-15-2025 He hadn't known what to expect from showing his scar to people, but he found it somewhat strange that the guys were always so impressed. Tal's reaction only further confirmed that, and he almost cracked a smile, feeling his anxieties ease around the issue. However, he was even more shocked by the medical regimen laid out before him. As he blinked at the information, Zavien released the hem of his shirt, letting it fall back into place. [say]"Wow, Tal. Uh, thanks."[/say] He tried to commit the pieces to memory, vowing to stop by the market on his way to the skyport. Bear fat. Horse liniment... whatever that was. Sheathing his sword back to his side, Zavien gave Tal a soft smile. [say]"And thanks for the training, too. It was nice to move my body again."[/say] Beyond stretches and small motions. It had proven that he could return to his previous level of functioning with a little bit of work and practice. And if Tal's advice was effective, he might not even have to deal with the twinging pain of his scar for much longer. It gave him a sense of hope that had him reaching out to clasp his friend on the shoulder. [say]"I'm heading to the Greatwood next but let me know when you're in the area so I can buy you a meal."[/say] And with that, they parted ways, Zavien feeling some of the darkness lift from his heart.
