RE: preparations - Lyra - 04-21-2025

With her suggestion approved, Lyra moves to find the lanterns, then begins to set them out around the village square. It takes a while for her to arrange them just so, and by the time she has finished, the sun has begun to slip beneath the trees. It's not quite time to end their efforts, though, because there's still cleanup to do, and Lyra hops to it with a smile, happy to be able to assist.

She elects to gather up the unused candles, and hums to herself as she goes about stacking them in crates and boxes to be moved out of the square. Maea folds bunting, and Liam goes about gathering up extra wood, and by the time Lyra has completed her task, the square is clean and ready for Fiat Lux.

RE: preparations - Liam - 04-21-2025

The time spent helping Maea passed quickly - or at least it felt that way, a testament to their friendship in that Liam had enjoyed doing even the rather boring task. When they were done, Maea elected to finish packing up the bunting, and Lyra got to work on the candles, so Liam busied himself with the leftover wood, dragging it away from the village and into a small clearing, where it could burn without being a danger to the rest of the Greatwood. Maea lit the fire, and Liam grinned in thanks, and that was that. The village was ready for Fiat Lux.

[say]"Great, thank you both,"[/say] Liam said as they gathered near the fire. [say]"I need to make sure this fire stays under control, but I owe you both."[/say] If they wanted, they were welcome to stay and enjoy the bonfire; but if they had things to do and places to be, Liam would understand that, too.
