With a dramatic flutter of her lashes, Flora rises from the dead, propping herself upright with a beam so bright it could’ve powered the bar’s entire mood lighting. [say]"Good,"[/say] she declares, tapping her glass against his with renewed life. [say]"I’ll be holding you to that."[/say]
As he counters her madame protests with maddening logic, she nods with mock solemnity. [say]"Fair,"[/say] she allows. [say]"But all those things—The Hanged Man, the guild, running Torchline—they were all in one place."[/say] Her voice lilts higher, conspiratorial, as she taps one finger playfully against her cheek. [say]"But you know...maybe there’s a solution."[/say] Her brows lift as her grin turns devilish.
[say]"Maybe we could get Dygra and Safrin to work together. Just one little portal. A charming little shortcut from the Hollowed Grounds straight to Torchline."[/say] She clinks her nails against the edge of her drink, eyes glittering. [say]"Think about it. Cultural exchange. Diplomatic efficiency. Very sexy brothel synergy."[/say]
And as Danta turns more thoughtful, explaining Asta’s shifting hunger, Flora quiets just a touch. [say]"I was never exactly top of my class,"[/say] she admits with a smirk, [say]"but this feels like a research project I can really sink my teeth into."[/say] Or that Asta could, anyway. She laughs, low and pleased with herself, the joke riding a little too smoothly on the tail of something that might’ve been sincerity.
Then, lifting her glass once more, she tips it toward him in toast. [say]"To learning more about our favourite butcher,"[/say] she says. [say]"And questionable methodology."[/say]
