RE: deer to be different - Panacea - 08-19-2025

Panacea watched Lena's arrow hit the void luxere in the flank, so she let hers fly. Please, please, please she begged as she released her hold. She watched on as the arrow struck where she aimed, glad to know at least the very end was quick. It landed with a thud and Panacea released a breath she didn't realize she was holding.

She nodded in recognition to Lena's comment. [say]"I'm not sure. I've heard that a lot of people have been leaving them. Hoping that what good is left will be taken up by the soil."[/say] Panacea watched her bird saviors fly back to the trees. She turns to Lena, observing as she holds her companion close. She drapes her own bow across her shoulder. [say]"I say we leave it. Let nature reclaim it. Allow it to give it's life back to nature to make up for what it lost."[/say] Panacea did hope that the body would help to feed the land again, she also really did not want to drag it anywhere.

Panacea looks around, making sure there is nothing else hunting them. [say]"Whelp, I don't know about you, but I think that was a sign to call it a day."[/say]

RE: deer to be different - Lena - 08-20-2025

Leaving it didn’t seem right to her – but perhaps, in some way, it’d be returned to the land, better than what it had been churned and turned into. She gave a silent little prayer in her mind, apologies for what they’d had to do, for the sudden bout of violence, for hoping it could make its way to Mort’s realm without the barbs and horrors implanted within its veins. [say]“Okay,”[/say] came along with acceptance of the inevitable, and she only gave it one last look, before darting her eyes away, back upon the route at large.

Tucking her coat closer, she sighed, nodding in agreement again. [say]“Yes. Thank you again for the help. I didn’t expect anything out here,”[/say] even though she should have – foolish on her part, for not being better prepared. [say]“Let’s head back to Halo?”[/say] And then home – wherever that happened to be for the woman.
