RE: I've been beating myself up, you wanna go too? - Alys - 08-29-2025 Alys launched her rock towards Iskra, who attempted to defend with a burst of fire; instead of burning the projectile or altering its trajectory, the flames seemed only to speed its course. The stone flew through the air to thump into her opponent’s chest. Alys grinned at her success, but in so doing, she didn’t realize that the fire had continued to move. It wasn’t until flames licked at her shins that she jumped back, narrowly avoiding catching on fire. [say]”Well, that would have been unfortunate,”[/say] she laughed, eyeing Iskra with respect. The one thing she’d learned from each of her encounters of late was that she failed to multitask well. Dodging, for example, would do her a lot more good if she could combine it with some kind of retaliatory action, or vice versa. Something to work on going forward, to be sure. [say]”Want to go again?”[/say] she asked. [say]”Or are you good for now?”[/say] —- Alys dodges the fire that comes towards her and asks if Iskra wants more. 4/4 RE: I've been beating myself up, you wanna go too? - Iskra - 08-29-2025 His hand claps over the spot on his chest where the rock struck, rubbing at the sting and the nip of pain throbbing there. At her question he offers an easy smile, unbothered by the outcome of his own mistake, or the inevitability of being struck. Sometimes that bite taught you faster. [say]"No,"[/say] he says breezily, [say]"I think that gave me a lot to work with on how to improve. Don't want either of us getting too worn out that we get messy and hurt each other, or ourselves, further."[/say] Healing might help, but it doesn't stop the wound from happening, so that shit still hurts. [say]"Thanks for a good fight though,"[/say] he grins, proud of some of the ways he can see he's improved. [say]"You're tough, to be sure."[/say] Goose slinks forward, not entirely a fan of all the fire and the lightning, but he can sense the shift in them and approaches. Iskra pats the dog's head idly when he draws near. [say]"Think I'll head back to Halo, but we should do this again."[/say] [FIN] |
