RE: I like my men all incompetent - Charlie - 10-08-2025 Charlie flashes him a wide, fanged grin, all teeth and mischief. [say]"Being eaten isn't always a bad thing,"[/say] she teases with a wink that could melt glass, before adding with an airy shrug, [say]"Dragons are clever predators anyway. They don’t usually go for something that they know they can't take down."[/say] Her tone lilts with smug amusement, entirely secure in the knowledge that she was a much more badass predator than most gave her credit for. At his agreement, she claps her hands together with a delighted little [say]"deal!"[/say] that turns a few heads nearby, her excitement far too large for her small frame. The sound rings out like a victory bell; both for the promise of a new quest and for what she’s already decided is an inevitable yes to the festival. When Kaisel mentions lunch, Charlie brightens further, looping her arm through his with an ease that makes their height difference look like an afterthought. [say]"Lunch sounds perfect,"[/say] she says, already tugging him toward the direction of food stalls. [say]"I’m in the mood for something spicy. Like the kind that really makes you sweat."[/say] She beams up at him, eyes glinting with challenge. [say]"You can handle that, right, soldier boy?"[/say] As they stroll through the busy streets of Haulani, her tail occasionally flicks behind her, brushing playfully against the backs of his legs. Every once in a while she’ll point out something shiny—jewels, fruit, a vendor’s earring—as though everything in Torchline exists for her own personal amusement, including Kaisel. ~FIN |
